Perforated anterior tenia coli-type appendicitis in a case of vermiform appendix duplex in a toddler: a case report.

Duplication of the vermiform appendix is a rare anomaly observed in patients undergoing appendectomy. A 27-month-old male toddler presented with a 9-day history of abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea, progressing to an acute abdomen with signs of severe peritonitis. Intraoperative findings revealed a periappendicular infiltrate from a perforated vermiform appendix of the tenia coli type.

Management strategy of giant inguinoscrotal hernia-a case series of 24 consecutive patients surgically treated over 17 years period.

Purpose: Management of giant inguinoscrotal hernia (GIH) is still a challenging procedure associated with a higher risk of intraabdominal hypertension and abdominal compartment syndrome as a life-threatening condition. The aim of the study was to present our management strategy for GIH.

The effect of intravenous vitamin C administration on postoperative pain and intraoperative blood loss in older patients after intramedullary nailing of trochanteric fractures.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of peri and postoperative intravenous vitamin C administration on severity of postoperative pain and intraoperative blood loss in patients with trochanteric fracture treated with intramedullary nailing.

Methods: A prospective, single-blinded, controlled, randomised clinical study was conducted. It included 60 patients who were randomly divided into the Vitamin C and Control groups.

The secondary aim was to determine the initial VA's median utilization time and the factors governing it.
