Perforated anterior tenia coli-type appendicitis in a case of vermiform appendix duplex in a toddler: a case report.

Duplication of the vermiform appendix is a rare anomaly observed in patients undergoing appendectomy. A 27-month-old male toddler presented with a 9-day history of abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea, progressing to an acute abdomen with signs of severe peritonitis. Intraoperative findings revealed a periappendicular infiltrate from a perforated vermiform appendix of the tenia coli type.

The secondary aim was to determine the initial VA's median utilization time and the factors governing it. This prospective cohort study included 387 hemodialysis (HD) patients admitted to the Clinic for Hemodialysis, Clinical Center University of Sarajevo, in consecutive order between January 2006 and December 2016.

Neutropenic enterocolitis (NE) is a potentially life-threatening condition, primarily affecting neutropenic patients with hematologic malignancies. The clinical manifestations of NE in patients receiving antineoplastic drugs range from fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain to intestinal perforation and shock.
