Positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) with gallium-68 (Ga) and fluorine-18 (F) radiotracers has aroused tremendous interest over the past few years. The use of organosilicon-[F]fluoride acceptors (SiFA) conjugated to urea-based peptidomimetic PSMA inhibitors provides a "kit-like" multidose synthesis technology. Nine novel F-labeled SiFA-bearing PSMA inhibitors with different linker moieties were synthesized and analyzed for their binding against [I]I-TAAG-PSMA in LNCaP cells.

Purpose: Defining normal anthropometric ranges of proximal femur and femoral head for each age group in children/adolescents is a necessity when differentiating normal anatomical variants from pathological deformities. Aim of this study is to define a set of normal anthropometric parameters based on 3D-CT measurements in normal asymptomatic children/adolescents and analyse the variations arising depending on age, side, and/or gender.
Methods: Morphology of the proximal femur was retrospectively assessed in 170 hips (85 children, < 15 years).

Acute stroke is a widespread, debilitating disease. Fortunately, it also has one of the most effective therapeutic options available in medicine, endovascular treatment. Imaging plays a major role in the diagnosis of stroke and aids in appropriate therapy selection.

Background And Purpose: The acute phase of aneurysmal SAH is characterized by a plethora of impending complications with the potential to worsen patients' outcomes. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether an elaborated CTP-based imaging protocol during the acute aneurysmal SAH phase is able to prevent delayed infarctions and contribute to a better outcome.
Materials And Methods: In 2012, an elaborated CTP-based protocol was implemented for the management of patients with aneurysmal SAH.

Background And Purpose: Patients with acute ischemic stroke due to medium vessel occlusion (MeVO) make up a substantial part of the acute stroke population, though guidelines currently do not recommend endovascular treatment (EVT) for them. A growing body of evidence suggests that EVT is effective in MeVOs, including observational data but no randomized studies. We aimed to explore willingness of physicians worldwide to randomize MeVO stroke patients into a hypothetical trial comparing EVT in addition to best medical management versus best medical management only.

Early evidence for the benefit of mechanical thrombectomy (MT) in pediatric patients with intracranial large vessel occlusion has been shown in previous retrospective cohorts. Higher-level evidence is needed to overcome the limitations of these studies such as the lack of a control group and the retrospective design. Randomized trials will very likely not be feasible, and several open questions remain, for example, the impact of arteriopathic etiologies or a possible lower age limit for MT.

Purpose: Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) is associated with a high risk of developing multiple complications requiring further diagnostics including imaging associated with radiation exposure (RE). Since aSAH often affects younger patients, the obtained cumulative RE may have serious long-term health consequences. The aim of this study was to calculate the cumulative RE in the acute phase after aSAH and to identify contributors to RE.

Aim: To evaluate the image quality and time saving using simultaneous multi-slice (SMS)-accelerated T2-weighted turbo spin echo (TSE) sequences compared to standard T2 TSE sequences in breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Patients And Methods: Thirty patients were examined with an SMS-accelerated T2 TSE sequence and a standard T2 TSE sequence as part of a breast MRI protocol at 1.5T.

Background And Purpose: There is a paucity of evidence regarding the safety of endovascular treatment for patients with acute ischemic stroke due to primary medium-vessel occlusion. The aim of this study was to examine the willingness among stroke physicians to perform endovascular treatment in patients with mild-yet-disabling deficits due to medium-vessel occlusion.
Materials And Methods: In an international cross-sectional survey consisting of 7 primary medium-vessel occlusion case scenarios, participants were asked whether the presence of personally disabling deficits would influence their decision-making for endovascular treatment despite the patients having low NIHSS scores (<6).

Background: The new radial volumetric encoding RAVE-T/T hybrid sequence is a modern three-dimensional sequence with multiparametric approach, which includes T- and T-weighted contrasts obtained in identical slice position during one measurement. However, the RAVE-T/T hybrid sequence is not yet being used in clinical routine.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the RAVE-T/T hybrid sequence in a pediatric population with a clinical indication for an abdominal MRI examination to demonstrate that the hybrid imaging may be less challenging to perform on children.

Objectives: Patients with severe COVID-19 may be at risk of longer term sequelae. Long-term clinical, immunological, pulmonary and radiological outcomes of patients treated with anti-inflammatory drugs are lacking.
Methods: In this single-centre prospective cohort study, we assessed 90-day clinical, immunological, pulmonary and radiological outcomes of hospitalised patients with severe COVID-19 treated with tocilizumab from March 2020 to May 2020.

Objectives: To evaluate the impact of diagnostic nerve block and ultrasound findings on therapeutic choices and predict the outcome after concomitant surgery in patients with suspected neuropathy of the infrapatellar branch of the saphenous nerve (IPBSN).
Methods: Fifty-five patients following knee surgery with suspicion of IPBSN neuralgia were retrospectively included. Ultrasound reports were assessed for neuroma and postsurgical scarring (yes/no).

Paediatric arterial ischaemic stroke is an important cause of neurological morbidity in children, with consequences including motor disorders, intellectual impairment, and epilepsy. The causes of paediatric arterial ischaemic stroke are unique compared with those associated with stroke in adulthood. The past decade has seen substantial advances in paediatric stroke research and clinical care, but many unanswered questions and controversies remain.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate F-FDG PET/CT as an early and late interim imaging biomarker in patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma who undergo first-line systemic therapy. This was a prospective, single-center, single-arm, open-label study (IRB12-000770). Patient receiving first-line chemotherapy were planned to undergo baseline F-FDG PET/CT, early interim F-FDG PET/CT, and late interim F-FDG PET/CT.

Sarcomas are rare tumors of mesenchymal origin and comprise only around 1% of adult cancers. The abundance of sarcoma histiotypes, with distinct imaging characteristics, biology, clinical behavior and treatment strategy, result in a complex disease presentation, requiring management by multidisciplinary specialized sarcoma centers. Oncologic and musculoskeletal radiology guidelines provide minimal guidance and only fragmentary information on the indications of F-FDG PET/CT in sarcoma.

There are limited data on endovascular treatment (EVT) for anterior cerebral artery (ACA) occlusions. This review focuses on aspects related to ACA EVT: ACA anatomy, clinical and imaging findings, prognosis of ACA stroke, and ACA thrombectomy techniques. The ACA anatomy, and the regions supplied by the ACA, are highly variable; frequent anatomical variants include azygos ACA, triplicated ACA and fenestrations of the anterior communicating artery.
