Aceruloplasminemia is a rare autosomal recessive genetic disease characterized by mild microcytic anemia, diabetes, retinopathy, liver disease, and progressive neurological symptoms due to iron accumulation in pancreas, retina, liver, and brain. The disease is caused by mutations in the Ceruloplasmin () gene that produce a strong reduction or absence of ceruloplasmin ferroxidase activity, leading to an impairment of iron metabolism. Cognition may be affected at least as seriously as physical function during multiple sclerosis (MS) relapse, however MS relapse related cognitive disorders are still underdiagnosed and poorly characterized. The limited number of paper-pencil tests were used for assessment, and nevertheless, some significant changes were found. Unlike the paper-pencil tests, computerized batteries and tests are more sensitive and highly standardized, produce instant scoring and can minimize the learning and practice effects on follow-up.

Purpose: Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) is a frequently underdiagnosed cause of vertigo, potentially due to the underuse of diagnostic and therapeutic canalith repositioning procedures (CRPs). We aimed to investigate self-reported use of the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to BPPV patients by Lithuanian neurologists, ear, nose, and throat (ENT) physicians, and general practitioners (GPs), and to explore potential reasons for the underuse of the maneuvers.

Background: This prospective study of an innovative non-invasive ultrasonic cerebrovascular autoregulation (CA) monitoring method is based on real-time measurements of intracranial blood volume (IBV) reactions following changes in arterial blood pressure. In this study, we aimed to determine the clinical applicability of a non-invasive CA monitoring method by performing a prospective comparative clinical study of simultaneous invasive and non-invasive CA monitoring on intensive care patients.

There is some evidence that cognition may be impaired during multiple sclerosis (MS) relapse. The aims of this study were to assess the cognitive status with the Brief International Cognitive Assessment for Multiple Sclerosis (BICAMS) in MS patients during relapse, in stable patients, and in healthy controls; to evaluate cognitive changes up to 3 months after relapse; and to estimate the impact of different factors on cognition after relapse. An innovative absolute intracranial pressure (ICP) value measurement method has been validated by multicenter comparative clinical studies. The method is based on two-depth transcranial Doppler (TCD) technology and uses intracranial and extracranial segments of the ophthalmic artery as pressure sensors. The ophthalmic artery is used as a natural pair of "scales" that compares ICP with controlled pressure Pe, which is externally applied to the orbit.
