Cesarean section scar pregnancy treatment--case report.

This is a case report of a 36-year-old patient with an ectopic pregnancy located in the previous cesarean section scar following in vitro fertilization (IVF). The patient was treated by 50 mg of intrasacular methotrexate locally under ultrasound guidance. Transvaginal ultrasound (TVUS) confirmed that the pregnancy was no longer vital within 24 hours, dilatation and aspiration of the ovular tissue were performed after seven days and it was sent for pathohistological analysis.

This investigation was a prospective study performed at the Gynecological Clinic "Narodni Front" in Belgrade. In the investigated group, endometrial hyperplasia, endometrial polyp, and myoma were diagnosed as the most frequent causes of bleeding during perimenopause. The test group of patients was then subjected to hysterosonography in order to diagnose bleeding etiology, followed by hysteroscopy to confirm its etiology based on hysterosonography.

Fusion of the labia minora is a rare event in adult women and rarely seen as a clinical entity. We present a case of a 30-year-old woman with labial fusion, unmarried, a virgin, and sexually inactive with the complaint of discomfort during menstruation and difficulty in micturition since her puberty. The labia minora were fused in the midline with a pinpoint aperture for draining urine, while the clitoris could not be visualized.

The aim of our study was to examine the effect of calorie restriction (CR) on oxidative and nitrosative liver injury in rats, induced by acute ethanol intoxication. Male Wistar rats were divided into groups: (1) control; (2) calorie-restricted groups with intake of 60-70% (CR60-70) and 40-50% of daily energy needs (CR40-50); (3) ethanol-treated group (E); (4) calorie-restricted, ethanol-treated groups (E+CR60-70 and E+CR40-50). Ethanol was administered in 5 doses of 2g/kg every 12h, and duration of CR was 5 weeks before ethanol treatment.

The following is a description of an extremely rare tumor of the uterus, malignant atypical polypoid adenomyoma (APA), admixed with well-differentiated endometroid carcinoma, in a 29-year-old patient previously treated for sterility in whom, due to the existence of a ten-millimeter sessile tumor on the uterine corpus, verified by transvaginal ultrasonography (TVUS), a hysteroscopic resection of the anomaly was performed. The patient underwent all requisite examinations and was referred to the malignant diseases panel for an examination and a decision on further treatment. As the patient wished to preserve fertility, the authors decided to continue performing regular controls at intervals of two to three months.

We present a case of successful pregnancy after effective uterovaginal anastomosis in a 26-years-old patient with congenital atresia of the cervix uteri. She spontaneously achieved pregnancy after four years of uterovaginal anastomosis. Gestation was at the eighth lunar month and the delivery was done by cesarean section due to rapidly progressing fetal asphyxia.

Introduction: It is now believed that the majority of cervical cancer is preceded by long-term infection with high-risk types of the human papilloma virus (HPV). The presence of HPV high-risk types (HR-HPV) in the cells of intraepithelial change multiplies the possibility of its progressive development to high-grade cervical precancer and invasive disease.

Aim: This study examined the correlation of HPV infection with cytology, colposcopy, and histopathological examination of the bioptic tissue in low- and high-grade cervical lesions.

We present the case of a 38-year-old woman who was treated for a heterotopic interstitial (cornual) pregnancy diagnosed at the 7th week of gestation. The intervention was performed via transvaginal ultrasound-guided aspiration and instillation of a hypertonic solution of sodium chloride into the cornual sac. The heterotopic comrnual pregnancy was successfully aborted, and the intrauterine pregnancy was successfully maintained with delivery of a healthy newborn.

This paper describes a case of cancer of the uterine cervix metastasizing in the spleen two years after the primary carcinoma was diagnosed and treated. After detailed diagnostics, the patient was subjected to surgery. [Myomectomy via the vagina].

In recent years, the development of new surgical techniques in uterus myoma treatment have reduced operative trauma significantly. Our objective was to present operative technique--vaginal myomectomy, making a prospective clinical study where we have evaluated the operative and postoperative period after intentive diagnosis. The result of our study shows the feasibility of myomectomy by entering the peritoneum through the posterior vaginal fornix, using traditional and cheap surgical instruments and thus avoiding the trauma of laparatomy, minimal operative blood loss, reduced operating time and postoperative recovery.
