COMPOSIT study: evaluating osimertinib combination with targeted therapies in EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer.

Introduction: The emergence of diverse resistance mechanisms after osimertinib therapy, including on-target epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations and off-target alterations, warrants investigation of novel therapeutics to overcome these challenges and improve patient outcomes.

Methods: COMPOSIT was a French, retrospective, multicenter, cohort study of the effectiveness and tolerability of osimertinib in combination with other targeted therapies in patients with advanced EGFR-mutant (EGFRm) non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who harbored other oncogenic drivers as primary or acquired resistance mechanisms. Real-world progression-free survival (rwPFS), overall survival (OS), and objective response rate (ORR) were the primary endpoints.

Meniscal tear analysis in anterior cruciate ligament rupture: A retrospective comparison of early versus delayed intervention.

Introduction: Combined anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and meniscal tear patterns and their effect on knee stability have been widely researched, however, their evolution and repairability from time of injury have been scarcely addressed. When addressed with delay, meniscal lesions associated with ACL tears may increase in severity and irreparability. This study aims to investigate the incidence, rate and pattern of meniscus tears in the context of ACL deficient knees and to assess the meniscal condition in early versus late ACL reconstruction (ACLR).

Background/objectives: The large number and heterogeneity of causes of uveitis make the etiological diagnosis a complex task. The clinician must consider all the information concerning the ophthalmological and extra-ophthalmological features of the patient. LIBELULE: a randomized phase III study to evaluate the clinical relevance of early liquid biopsy in patients with suspicious metastatic lung cancer.

Patients And Methods: The phase III LIBELULE trial (NCT03721120) included patients with radiological suspicion of advanced lung cancer. They were randomized (1:1), the control arm receiving diagnostic procedures according to each center's practice and the liquid biopsy arm with additional testing performed at the first visit using the InVisionFirst®-Lung assay.

Effect of Therapeutic Patient Education in Adults with Atopic Dermatitis: Analysis of Efficacy and Treatment Needs.

In the era of biological treatments and small molecules, this study assessed therapeutic patient education (TPE) in managing adult atopic dermatitis (AD), focusing on disease severity, quality of life, and the use of systemic treatments. This multicentre study included 260 adult AD patients, with 184 undergoing a full TPE programme and 76 control patients. Evaluations included disease severity, quality of life (DLQI), and systemic treatment use.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the impact of post-operative coronal plane alignment of the knee (CPAK) class change on functional outcomes and determine the rate and type of CPAK class change after image-based robotic arm-assisted (RA)-total knee arthroplasty (TKA) performed with functional alignment (FA) at two different centres.

Methods: The present retrospective, observational, multicentre study included 201 patients treated with RA-TKA between October 2020 and April 2022 at two different centres. The radiographic CPAK classification was adapted using CT images to achieve pre- and post-operative knee categorization into CPAK classes.

Methods of nivolumab administration in advanced melanoma: A comparison of patients' clinical outcomes treated with flat dose or weight-adjusted dose, a multicenter observational study.

Background: Nivolumab obtained approval in advanced melanoma (AM) with weight-adjusted dose (WAD) administration (3 mg/kg/2 weeks). In 2018, the dosage regimen was changed to flat dose (FD) administration (240 mg/2 weeks or 480 mg/4 weeks) based on a modeling study, without clinical data.

Methods: AM patients have been prospectively included in the French national multicenter MelBase database since 2013.

Achieving Better Clinical Outcomes After Total Knee Arthroplasty in Knees with Valgus Deformity: The Role of Alignment Strategies.

Background: Personalized alignment in total knee arthroplasty (TKA) has demonstrated good functional outcomes for knees with varus alignment. However, limited research has explicitly addressed optimal alignment strategies for valgus knees. The aims of the current study were to assess the impact of the postoperative knee alignment and of the degree of correction of knee alignment on functional outcomes and satisfaction in a population with preoperative valgus and to evaluate the complication and revision rates based on postoperative alignment.

Modular versus monobloc dual mobility components for primary cementless total hip arthroplasty: a systematic review and meta-analysis of implants' survival, complication rates, clinical and radiographic outcomes.

Purpose: The dual mobility cup (DMC) reduces the dislocation rates in total hip arthroplasty (THA). DMC systems include anatomical (non-modular or monoblock) (ADM) and modular dual mobility (MDM) components (Stryker Orthopaedics, Mahwah, NJ, USA). This review aims to assess differences between these two types of DMC implants concerning dislocation and revision rates, as well as patient-reported outcomes.

Despite their indisputable importance in neuroblastoma (NB) pathology, knowledge of the bases of NB plasticity and heterogeneity remains incomplete. They may be rooted in developmental trajectories of their lineage of origin, the sympatho-adrenal neural crest. We find that implanting human NB cells in the neural crest of the avian embryo allows recapitulating the metastatic sequence until bone marrow involvement.

Assessing the real-world effectiveness of 8 major metastatic breast cancer drugs using target trial emulation.

Background: Demonstration of trial emulation ability to benchmark randomised controlled trials (RCTs) from real-world data (RWD) is required to increase confidence in the use of routinely collected data for decision making in oncology.

Methods: To assess the frequency with which emulation findings align with RCTs regarding effect size on overall survival (OS) in metastatic breast cancer (MBC), 8 of 13 pre-selected pivotal RCTs in MBC were emulated using data from 32,598 patients enrolled in the French ESME-MBC cohort between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2021. Adjustment methods and confounders were selected a priori for each emulation; stabilized weight was the reference method to mitigate confounding.

Intraoperative patellar tracking assessment during image-based robotic-assisted total knee arthroplasty: technical note and reliability study.

Introduction: Restoration of the anterior knee compartment is increasingly studied with the development of personalized surgery. However, evaluating the patellar tracking during the surgery is still subjective and at the surgeon's discretion. This study aimed 1) to describe the assessment of the patellar tracking during robotic-assisted total knee arthroplasty (TKA), 2) to describe a new measurement technique for evaluating the evolution of this patellar tracking, and 3) to assess its reliability and repeatability.
