Cannulation strategies in aortic arch surgeries are a matter of immense discussion. Majority of time deep hypothermic circulatory arrest (DHCA) is the way out, but it does come with its set of demerits. Here we demonstrate a case with aortic arch dissection dealt with dual cannulation strategy in axillary and femoral artery without need for DHCA and ensuring complete neuroprotection of brain and spinal cord without hinderance of time factor.

Aims And Objectives: Atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) is the most common supraventricular tachycardia (SVT). Prolonged PR interval(>200 ms) on baseline electrocardiogram (ECG) is uncommon in such patients. The aim of the current study was to evaluate the incidence, clinical, electrophysiological characteristics, and outcomes of patients with baseline prolongation of PR interval undergoing radio-frequency ablation (RFA) for AVNRT.

TD is a rare neurological condition often misidentified as brain tumors or inflammatory disorders. The case emphasizes the importance of precise differentiation through advanced magnetic resonance imaging, showing restricted diffusion at lesion edges and the absence of gadolinium enhancement.

Long-term follow-up of a cohort of unmarried girls who received one, two, or three doses of quadrivalent HPV vaccine, between 10 and 18 years of age, in an Indian multi-centric study allowed us to compare antibody responses between the younger and older age cohorts at 10-years post-vaccination, and study the impact of initiation of sexual activity and cervical HPV infections on antibody levels. Among the younger (10-14 years) recipients of a single dose, 97.7% and 98.

Migraines are chronic, painful, and one of the most prevalent disabling primary headache disorders, mainly treated with pharmacological methods. Patients suffering from migraine suffer from a significantly reduced quality of life. The use of non-pharmacological methods to reduce the stress and anxiety associated with long-term chronic conditions can help improve quality of life, reduce disease burden, and subsequently alleviate the economic burden on the patient.

It has long been difficult to treat vulvovaginal laxity, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, stress urine incontinence, overactive bladder (OAB), and other indications of sexual dysfunction because women traditionally find it difficult to discuss these difficulties with clinicians and because society generally accepts these diseases. Originating in esthetic medicine, noninvasive feminine rejuvenation that targets vaginal tissue with energy-based methods has recently become more popular. A more youthful-looking vulva, the restoration of vaginal elasticity and "tightness," a significant improvement in stress urinary incontinence, a reduction in symptoms of OAB, and a decrease in sexual dysfunction are all benefits of transcutaneous temperature-controlled radiofrequency (TTCRF) therapy at the vulvovaginal region.

Medullary thyroid carcinoma is a rare tumour that is anatomically located in the thyroid gland but is functionally a neuroendocrine tumour. It is usually a disease of older age group but manifests in a young patient in familial form. It is derived from parafollicular c cells and has a predilection for lymph node metastasis.

Introduction: Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the foremost single cause of mortality and loss of disability-adjusted life years globally and a large percentage of this burden is found in low and middle income countries, with the treatment strategies based on revascularisation, based on studies that have shown that on revascularisation of viable myocardium there is an improvement of function over a period of time.
Aim: To evaluate the utilization of myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) for identifying viable myocardium and assessing the improvement.
Material And Methods: This prospective observational study was conducted in patients having CAD planned for coronary artery bypass grafting.

Epilepsy, a neurological disorder characterized by recurrent seizures, has witnessed a remarkable transformation in its classification paradigm, driven by advances in clinical understanding, neuroimaging, and molecular genetics. This narrative review navigates the dynamic landscape of epilepsy classification, offering insights into recent developments, challenges, and the promising horizon. Historically, epilepsy classification relied heavily on clinical observations, categorizing seizures based on their phenomenology and presumed etiology.

Left-handed individuals consist of around 11% of the population and true ambidextrous consists of only 2-3% of the total population. Almost a similar ratio is seen in medical profession also. Difficulties are obvious for left-handed cardiac surgeons in the operating room due to regular right-handed instruments, laterality, and positioning of the patients.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal and incurable disease requiring a multidisciplinary treatment approach and a collaborative therapeutic effort. A combination of both upper and lower motor neuron degeneration ultimately leads to respiratory failure, similar to other dementia-type neurodegenerative diseases. The aim of this paper is to pioneer current ALS research by carrying out a narrative literature review of the current treatment modalities of the disease.

Background: Overinflation of cuffed endotracheal tubes and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) probe causes increased intracuff pressure (CP) compromising tracheal perfusion pressure (TPP). Primary objective of the study was to assess CP, TPP on TEE probe insertion and examination during pediatric cardiac surgeries. Secondary objectives were to evaluate the effect of the probe on peak airway pressures (P), mean airway pressures (P) and to monitor CP, TPP on cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB).

Background: Clearance of tissue carbon dioxide by circulation is measured by venous to arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure difference (AVCO) and is correlated with cardiac output (CO) in critically ill adult patients. This study aimed to correlate AVCO with other CO indices like arteriovenous oxygen saturation difference (AVO), central venous oxygen saturation (ScVO), and serum lactate in pediatric patients undergoing intracardiac repair (ICR) for tetralogy of Fallot (TOF).
Methods: We conducted a prospective observational study in 50 patients, of age 5 months to 5 years, undergoing ICR for TOF and analyzed AVO, AVCO, ScVO, and lactate from arterial and venous blood gas pairs obtained at different time intervals from admission to pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) (T), at 6 h (T), 12 h (T), 24 h (T), and 48 h (T) postoperatively.

This literature review aims to look into cutting-edge methods and treatments that support neuroplasticity and recovery in these groups. A thorough search of electronic databases revealed a wide range of research and papers investigating several neuroplasticity-targeting methods, such as cognitive training, physical activity, non-invasive brain stimulation, and pharmaceutical interventions.

It has been noted that people who have epilepsy have an increased propensity for cognitive dysfunction. We explored 25 relevant articles on PubMed and Cochrane Library after implementing inclusion criteria. Different factors have been postulated and studied that may cause cognitive dysfunction in these patients; structural brain abnormalities, polypharmacy of antiepileptic medication, and neuropsychiatric disorders are the most common causes.

Cutaneous horns are uncommon lesions which consist of proliferation of keratotic material resembling that of an animal horn. This lesion most commonly occurs in sun-exposed areas, particularly the face, ear, nose, forearms and dorsum of hands. The purpose of the study was to highlight the atypical presentation of squamous cell carcinoma as a giant cutaneous horn along with the review of literature.
