Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Chemical Materials and Devices, Ministry of Education, Jianghan University, Wuhan, 430056, P. R. China.

The development of solid-state batteries has become one of the most promising directions in rechargeable secondary batteries due to their considerable energy densities and favorable safety. However, solid-state batteries with higher energy density and more durable and stable cycle life should be developed for large-scale energy storage and adaption to the rapidly increasing lithium battery production and sales market. Although inorganic solid electrolytes (ISEs) and composite solid electrolytes (CSEs) are relatively advantageous solid-state electrolytes, they also face severe challenges.

Activated two-dimension (2D) materials are used in various applications as high-performance catalysts. Breaking the long-range order of the basal plane of 2D materials can highly promote catalytic activity by supplying more active sites. Here we developed a method to synthesize ultrathin MCoO (M = V, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn) amorphous nanosheets (ANSs).

The human visual perceptual system is highly sensitive to biological motion (BM) but less sensitive to its inverted counterpart. This perceptual inversion effect may stem from our selective sensitivity to gravity-constrained life motion signals and confer an adaptive advantage to creatures living on Earth. However, to what extent and how such selective sensitivity is shaped by the Earth's gravitational field is heretofore unexplored.

Our research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of auditory, visual, and audiovisual warning signals for capturing the attention of the pilot, and how stimulus onset asynchronies (SOA) in audiovisual stimuli affect pilots perceiving the bimodal warning signals under different perceptual load conditions. In experiment 1 of the low perceptual load condition, participants discriminated the location (right vs. left) of visual targets preceded by five different types of warning signals.

Flexible pressure sensors have attracted a considerable amount of attention in various fields including robotics and healthcare applications, among others. However, it remains significantly challenging to design and fabricate a flexible capacitive pressure sensor with a quite broad linearity detection range due to the nonlinear stress-strain relation of the hyperelastic polymer-based dielectric material. Along these lines, in this work, a novel flexible capacitive pressure sensor with microstructured composite dielectric layer (MCDL) is demonstrated.

Budgerigar fledgling disease virus (BFDV) is the causative polyomavirus of budgerigar fledgling disease, an important avian immunosuppressive disease in budgerigars (). In the current study, we explored the etiological role and molecular characteristics of BFDV. We identified a novel BFDV strain, designated as SC-YB19, belonging to a unique cluster with three other domestic strains (WF-GM01, SD18, and APV-P) and closely related to Polish isolates based on complete sequences.

In view of the spatiotemporal limitations of traditional healthcare services, the use of wireless communication has become one of the main development directions for the medical system. Compared with the traditional methods, applying the potential and benefits of the wireless sensor networks has more advantages such as low cost, simplicity, and flexible data acquisition. However, due to the limited resources of the individual wireless sensor nodes, traditional security solutions for defending against internal attacks cannot be directly used in healthcare based wireless sensor networks.

The resilience and vulnerability of airport networks are significant challenges during the COVID-19 global pandemic. Previous studies considered node failure of networks under natural disasters and extreme weather. Herein, we propose a complex network methodology combined with data-driven to assess the resilience of airport networks toward global-scale disturbance using the Chinese airport network (CAN) and the European airport network (EAN) as a case study.

Conservation of the Stokes-Einstein relation in supercooled water.

Phys Chem Chem Phys

CAS Key Laboratory of Theoretical Physics, Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100190, China.

The Stokes-Einstein (SE) relation is commonly regarded as being breakdown in supercooled water. However, this conclusion is drawn by testing the validity of some variants of the SE relation rather than its original form, and it appears conflicting with the fact that supercooled water is in its local equilibrium. In this work, we show by molecular dynamics simulations that the Stokes-Einstein relation is indeed conserved in supercooled water.

Inhibition of Return Decreases Early Audiovisual Integration: An Event-Related Potential Study.

Front Hum Neurosci

School of Psychology, Liaoning Collaborative Innovation Center of Children and Adolescents Healthy Personality Assessment and Cultivation, Liaoning Normal University, Dalian, China.

Previous behavioral studies have found that inhibition of return decreases the audiovisual integration, while the underlying neural mechanisms are unknown. The current work utilized the high temporal resolution of event-related potentials (ERPs) to investigate how audiovisual integration would be modulated by inhibition of return. We employed the cue-target paradigm and manipulated the target type and cue validity.

Dielectric materials with excellent thermally conductive and mechanical properties can enable disruptive performance enhancement in the areas of advanced electronics and high-power devices. However, simultaneously achieving high thermal conductivity and mechanical strength for a single material remains a challenge. Herein, we report a new strategy for preparing mechanically strong and thermally conductive composite films by combining aramid nanofibers (ANFs) with graphene oxide (GO) and edge-hydroxylated boron nitride nanosheet (BNNS-OH) via a vacuum-assisted filtration and hot-pressing technique.

Silver nanowire films are good candidates to be used as transparent conductive films that could be widely utilized in organic photoelectronic devices such as polymer solar cells. However, their application is usually limited, as they are mainly used as top electrode materials; otherwise, they would be prone to complex transferring processes. In this study, we successfully prepared device-level ZnO-covered silver nanowire (AgNWs/ZnO) films.

Individuals must constantly adjust their behavior to adapt to the changing environment, and this dynamic adjustment ability has been studied through the conflict adaptation effect (CAE). We explored the resting state brain network underlying individual differences in CAE. The functional connection strength between dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) and bilateral insula or right anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) was negatively correlated with CAE, whereas the connection strength between DLPFC and left inferior parietal lobule was positively correlated with CAE.

Nanocavity-enriched Co3O4@ZnCo2O4@NC porous nanowires have been successfully prepared by a two-step annealing process of one-dimensional (1D) coordination polymer precursors. Such unique nanowires with nanocavity-based porous channels can provide a large specific surface area, which allows fast electron/ion transfer and alleviates the volume expansion caused by strain during the charge/discharge processes. While used as the anode material of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), Co3O4@ZnCo2O4@NC electrodes exhibit outstanding rate capacity and cycling stability, such as a high reversible capacity of 931 mA h g-1 after 50 cycles at a current density of 0.

Inhibition of return (IOR) refers to the slower response to targets appearing on the same side as the cue (valid locations) than to targets appearing on the opposite side as the cue (invalid locations). Previous behaviour studies have found that the visual IOR is larger than the audiovisual IOR when focusing on both visual and auditory modalities. Utilising the high temporal resolution of the event-related potential (ERP) technique we explored the possible neural correlates with the behaviour IOR difference between visual and audiovisual targets.

School of Computer Science and Information Engineering, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, 230009, China.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many countries, posing a threat to human health and safety, and putting tremendous pressure on the medical system. This paper proposes a novel SLAM technology using RGB and depth images to improve hospital operation efficiency, reduce the risk of doctor-patient cross-infection, and curb the spread of the COVID-19. Most current visual SLAM researches assume that the environment is stationary, which makes handling real-world scenarios such as hospitals a challenge.
