Herein, we report the synthesis of the naphthalendiimides (NDIs) 1-3 endowed with peripheral 3,4,5-trialkoxybenzamide units and a variable number of 1,2,3-triazole rings. Both the benzamide units and the triazole rings are able to form six- or seven-membered intramolecularly H-bonded pseudocycles that behave as metastable monomeric units. Whilst freshly prepared solutions of 1-3 afford H-type aggregates, the presence or lack of the 1,2,3-triazole rings strongly conditions the kinetics and stability of the resulting aggregated species.

Based on a designated lectotype and nearly 80 additional specimens, we redescribed the species and compare it with other congeners from the Bahamas, Cuba, and Hispaniola Islands. We found that Typhlops cubae is related to the Typhlops lumbricalis species group, restricting its distribution to western Cuba and Isla de la Juventud, and overlapping with Typhlops pachyrhinus along the Pinar del Río and Artemisa provinces.

Among these, a subset of the subgenus Bolitoglossa (Eladinea), stands out as particularly rare within the Cordillera de Talamanca. Many of its species have been discovered since 2009, with the majority documented from fewer than five specimens.

Gradually, new records were added in other northeastern states up to the state of Minas Gerais, in the Southeast region of the country. The species was even found south of Minas Gerais in the state of São Paulo, but not in wild conditions, but in rearing tanks associated with aquaculture practices.

The specimens collected belong to 24 species, 21 genera, 11 tribes, and three subfamilies of the family Cerambycidae. Of these, Gnaphalodes trachyderoides Thomson, 1861; Tylcus hartwegii (White, 1855); Anelaphus piceus (Chemsak, 1962); Metironeus hesperus Chemsak, 1991; Pseudoperiboeum subarmatum Linsley, 1935; Neocompsa puncticollis asperula (Bates, 1885); Compsibidion vanum (Thomson, 1867); Canidia spinicornis (Bates, 1881); Lepturges (Lepturges) angulatus (LeConte, 1852); Sternidius naeviicornis (Bates, 1885); Oreodera noguerai McCarty, 2001; Eupogonius arizonensis Knull, 1954; Lypsimena fuscata Haldeman, 1847; Arhopalus asperatus (LeConte, 1859); and Arhopalus montanus (LeConte, 1873) represent new state records.

The number of species of the subgenus Syrrhophus, genus Eleutherodactylus has increased rapidly in the last eight years, due to recent taxonomic studies. This subgenus of direct-developing frogs is well represented in Mexico, which harbors more than 90% of the species richness reported for the subgenus. In this study, we describe one new species, Eleutherodactylus (Syrrhophus) coelum sp.

Records of nine fossil species from Lower Miocene amber (23 Ma) from Chiapas are included. Records are given for 12 of the biogeographic provinces proposed for the country, covering most of the Mexican states (except Sonora, Sinaloa and Tlaxcala), and therefore Mexico ranges among regions with a high species diversity, like Japan (833), India (789), Italy (721), Russian Far East (599), Canada (580) and Brazil (576).

The opossum shrimp Euchaetomera plebeja Hansen, 1912 (Mysida; Mysidae) is one of the nine described species currently known in this genus. Until now, it has been considered a rare species, only partly illustrated, known from western Mexico, western Colombia, Peru, and Chile (one specimen in each locality), with a possible additional record off Hawaii. In a recent study, it was recorded abundantly in western Mexico where it was collected in 20 localities, all in the Gulf of California.

Two populations of Physalis patula Miller collected in different localities (Querétaro and Teotihuacán) of Central México were analyzed. Eight new compounds including three withanolides, physapatolides A-C (1-3), two labdanes, 12-epi-physacoztomatin (10) and physapatulone (12), besides three 12-O-glucosyl labdanes, patulosides A-C (13-15), were isolated from these collections. A series of known withanolides, flavonoids, labdanes, sucrose esters, and sterols were also isolated.

We propose multiloop vacuum amplitudes in the loop-tree duality (LTD) as the optimal building blocks for efficiently assembling theoretical predictions at high-energy colliders. This hypothesis is strongly supported by the manifestly causal properties of the LTD representation of a vacuum amplitude. The vacuum amplitude in LTD, acting as a kernel, encodes all the final states contributing to a given scattering or decay process through residues in the on-shell energies of the internal propagators.

Identifying how species richness or diversity changes with different proportions of natural and anthropized environments in the landscape is important for landscape management for conservation. Here, we propose a new method to assess biodiversity changes in landscapes with varying proportions of habitat types. The algorithm is based on the resampling of individuals recorded in different habitats considering both the proportion occupied by each habitat in the landscape and the number of individuals recorded in each habitat.

Rising evidence suggests that Metabolic Syndrome (MetS) would be correlated with the development of neurodegenerative diseases. Although this has emerged as a relevant area of research, it has not been fully explored. It is not clear if a greater impairment of the metabolic peripheral environment is accompanied by a greater impairment of the central nervous system.

Phylogenetic analyses revealed that the newly sequenced individuals in a clade with Rhadinorhynchus sp.

Introduction: Among the types of cancer affecting women, cervical cancer (CC) is a public health problem with high global incidence and mortality rates. It is currently classified into three main histological types: squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), adenocarcinoma (AC), and adenosquamous (ASC) carcinoma. All of them lack a targeted therapy.
