We present a next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) global QCD analysis of the proton's helicity parton distribution functions, the first of its kind. To obtain the distributions, we use data for longitudinal spin asymmetries in inclusive and semi-inclusive lepton-nucleon scattering as well as in weak-boson and hadron or jet production in proton-proton scattering. We analyze the data using QCD perturbation theory at NNLO accuracy, employing approximations provided by the threshold resummation formalism in cases where full NNLO results for partonic hard-scattering functions are not readily available.

Seventy-one water samples were analyzed to determine key physicochemical parameters and dominant ion concentrations, revealing that the primary hydrogeochemical facies are HCO -Mg and HCO -Ca.

The incorporation of these aza-crown macrocycles significantly enhances their water solubility, positioning them as groundbreaking instances of curcumin derivatives that are fully soluble in aqueous environments. This paper analyses the optimal control of infectious disease propagation using a classic susceptible-infected-recovered (SIR) model characterised by permanent immunity and the absence of available vaccines. The control is performed over a time-dependent mean reproduction number, in order to minimise the cumulative number of ever-infected individuals (recovered), under different constraints. We consider constraints on non-pharmaceutical interventions ranging from partial lockdown to non-intervention, as well as the social and economic costs associated with such interventions, and the capacity limitations of intensive care units that limits the number of infected individuals to a maximum allowed value.

This work reports the synthesis of FeO (FeO) microparticles using the Pechini method and their use to remove microplastics from tap water. The analysis by electronic microscopy revealed that the FeO microparticles (FeMicroPs) have a porous structure and are formed by interconnected grains with sizes of 80-120 nm. In addition, the X-ray diffraction analysis pointed out that the FeMicroPs are composed of γ- FeO and α- FeO phases.
