In the treatment of coronavirus infections, it is important not only to understand the course of the disease, but also to understand what is happening in the human body, especially in the circulatory system, that is, which disorders lead to deterioration and further complications. Hemostasis disorder in COVID-19 plays an important role in the etiology and clinical manifestations of the disease. The ability to identify factors and risk groups for the development of thrombotic complications, the ability to dynamically interpret peripheral blood parameters and coagulograms, knowledge of diagnostic criteria for possible hemostasis disorders (for example, DIC syndrome, sepsis-associated coagulopathy, antiphospholipids, hemophagocytosis and hypercoagulation syndrome) are necessary to determine the indications for the test.

Research on the condition of the lungs in senile people is an urgent task. This is due to the fact that degenerative or age-associated changes in the respiratory system play an important role in the formation of senile asthenia syndrome and a decrease in the age-related viability of the body as a whole. CT-scans of patients aged 80-90 years were analyzed (n=31).

Objective(s): Chronic endometritis (CE) is a localized mucosal inflammatory disorder associated with female infertility of unknown etiology, endometriosis, tubal factors, repeated implantation failure, and recurrent pregnancy loss, along with atypical uterine bleeding and iron deficiency anemia. Diagnosis of CE has traditionally relied on endometrial biopsy and detection of CD138(+) endometrial stromal plasmacytes. To develop a less invasive diagnostic system for CE, we aimed to construct a deep learning-based convolutional neural network (CNN) model for the automatic detection of endometrial micropolyps (EMiP), a fluid hysteroscopy (F-HSC) finding recognized as tiny protrusive lesions that are closely related to this disease.

There is a lack of information on the epidemiology of acute ischemic stroke (AIS), intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), and subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) in developing countries. This research presents incidence and mortality rates of stroke patients based on hospital admission and discharge status in one of the Central Asian countries by analysis of large-scale healthcare data. The registry data of 177,947 patients admitted to the hospital with the diagnosis of stroke between 2014 and 2019 were extracted from the National Electronic Health System of Kazakhstan.

Pneumonia is the leading mortality rate among all infectious diseases. It has been established that the reliable risk group for morbidity and mortality from this nosology includes persons over 60 years of age, and with age the severity of the disease only increases. According to literary data, one of the reasons for the decline in adaptation capabilities of older persons is the phenomenon of «age desinhronosis», which manifests itself in significant fluctuations in the parameters of the internal environment of the body.

Limited knowledge exists on immune markers associated with disease severity or recovery in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Here, we elucidated longitudinal evolution of SARS-CoV-2 antibody repertoire in patients with acute COVID-19. Differential kinetics was observed for immunoglobulin M (IgM)/IgG/IgA epitope diversity, antibody binding, and affinity maturation in "severe" versus "mild" COVID-19 patients.

Introduction: Due to recent advances in surgical procedures and instruments, laparoscopic gastrectomy for gastric cancer has been widely performed, and previous studies reported laparoscopic surgery for gastric cancer with Adachi type VI vascular anomaly. In Adachi type VI patients, the common hepatic artery (CHA) originates from the superior mesenteric artery (SMA); therefore, the route of lymph flow differs from the normal route, and the supra- and infrapyloric lymph nodes (LN) may reach SMA LN. However, metastasis has not yet been reported.

About 1,3 billion people live on our planet with visual disorders such as cataract and glaucoma, the prevalence of which is significantly higher in the elderlypopulation. Eye diseases remain a global medical, social and economic problem, associated with both the progression of the disease to blindness and the lack of pathogenetic therapy methods. A retrospective analysis of the long-term dynamics and structure of cases of ophthalmological diseases of patients treated in a large multidisciplinary hospital was carried out.

Review is about current information on the features of heart failure and angina diagnosis and monitoring in elderly and senile patients. One of the main problem in patients over 65 years is comorbidity, which requires corrective action in the risk stratification and prediction of clinical outcomes. The priority of non-invasive diagnostic tests is noted.

Clinical and radiological features of tuberculosis and sarcoidosis are quite overlapping, and therefore, a diagnostic dilemma often persists. There are no commonly accepted criteria for the diagnosis of sarcoidosis due to the lack of data on the etiology of the disease. The exclusion of tuberculosis in every patient with suspected sarcoidosis is a mandatory stage of diagnosis, especially in countries with a high burden of tuberculosis.
