In this meta-analysis, we aimed to compare the diagnostic accuracy of 2D- and 3D/4D-HyCoSy for the assessment of tubal occlusion in women with infertility, using a laparoscopic tubal chromoperturbation dye test as the reference standard. Studies assessing 2D- and 3D/4D-HyCoSy for the assessment of tubal occlusion in women with infertility were searched from January 1990 to April 2019 using Medline and Web of Science databases by three of the authors, using the terms: 'hysterosalpingo-contrast-sonography', 'sonohysterosalpingography', 'HyCoSy', 'HyFoSy', 'three-dimensional', 'four-dimensional', 'ultrasound', 'tubal patency' and 'tubal occlusion'. Data quality was determined using the QUADAS-2 tool.

Article Synopsis
  • - Cervicothoracic spinal tuberculosis (CTSTB) is a rare and disabling disease, accounting for only 5% of all spinal tuberculosis cases, typically affecting just one or two segments, but this report highlights a unique case involving fourteen contiguous segments in a 28-year-old female.
  • - Imaging studies like CT scans and MRIs revealed significant destruction of vertebral bodies and displacement issues between the cervical and thoracic vertebrae, indicating severe pathology.
  • - The case was treated through a one-stage posterior-only surgical approach, but the authors emphasize the need for more research to determine the effectiveness and safety of this method for extensive cases of CTSTB.
