The scarcity of water resources and their pollution are vital to modern civilization. Thus, adsorptive membranes are promising candidates to be applied in the filtration systems to improve the water quality. In summary, this study investigated the effect of chitosan (CS) in the morphological, chemical, and physical aspects of PLA-based membranes incorporating chitosan obtained by electrospinning process, their adsorption behavior in multielement aqueous systems containing Cr, Cu, Zn, Mn , Ni, and Cd in pH 4, and the possible removal mechanism on the composite electrospun membrane's surface.

Parasites can impact tadpole survival in both lethal and sublethal ways. Sublethal effects include alterations in morphology and behavior, reduced competitive ability, and increased vulnerability to predation, while lethal effects result in direct mortality. Due to the intrinsic interconnected feature of water flow, including losses, this study proposes a methodology based on graph correlation and multilayer network analysis for leak detection and localization in WDNs with multiple components (infrastructure, control devices, hydraulic sensors). Background: It is still unclear whether patients with progressive MS (PMS) present a distinct pattern of cognitive impairment (CI) and different trajectories of cognitive and clinical decline compared to patients with relapsing-remitting MS (RRMS) with similar age. In addition, the role of reserve (cognitive and cerebral) in cognitive decline in the different forms of MS is not fully understood, and some studies suggest that its effects reduce in the progressive forms.
Objective: To assess the trajectories of cognitive decline in RRMS and PMS patients with similar age, also evaluating the predictive power of baseline clinical and MRI features on cognitive outcomes at follow-up.

Unlabelled: " Liberibacter asiaticus" (CLas) is associated with citrus huanglongbing, a severe disease with global importance that affects citrus production in Brazil. This study reports the first complete genome of a Brazilian strain of CLas. The genomic structure comparison of strain 9PA with those of 13 complete CLas genomes revealed 9,091 mismatches and 992 gaps/insertions, highlighting eight locally colinear blocks, among which six are in the prophage region.

Dendrimers and supramolecular chemistry continue to fascinate researchers due to the endless unrevealed potential of their combination. This study investigates the self-assembly process of a series of hydrophobic triazolylferrocenyl dendrimers in aqueous medium. Deep investigation through NMR spectroscopy, absorption UV-vis spectroscopy along with theoretical simulations demonstrates that the ferrocenyl moieties interact intramolecularly and intermolecularly driving the self-assembly process.
