In this study, we study a heat transfer model, with the surface of the microbolometer device receiving radiation from blackbody constructed using a COMSOL Multiphysics simulator. We have proposed three kinds of L-type 2-leg and 4-leg with the pixel pitch of 35 μm based on vanadium oxide absorbent membrane sandwiched with top passivated and bottom Si₃N₄ supporting films, respectively. Under the blackbody radiation, the surface temperature changes and distributions of these samples are simulated and analyzed in detail.

To achieve high- and low-dielectric epoxy thermosets, four dicyclopentadiene-derived polyarylates (26-P, 26-M, 236-P, and 236-M) were prepared from 2,6-dimethyl (or 2,3,6-trimethyl) phenol-dicyclopentadiene adduct with terephthaloyl (or isophthaloyl) chloride by high-temperature solution polymerization. The resulting polyarylates, exhibiting active ester linkages (Ph-O-(C=O)-) are found to be reactive toward a commercial dicyclopentadiene phenol epoxy (HP7200) in the presence of some lone-pair electron-containing compounds. Five compounds including 4-dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP), imidazole, 2-methylimidazole, triphenylphosphine, and triphenylimidazole have been evaluated as a catalyst for the curing reactions.

Objective: In this study, an experiment was conducted to examine whether noise exposure produced acute changes in cardiovascular responses, and whether these responses differed based on psycho-acoustic parameters to noises of low to high intensity.
Methods: Thirty healthy subjects were enrolled. Three industrial noises were binaurally presented with a supra-aural earphone.

Cathode buffer layers (CBLs) can effectively further the efficiency of polymer solar cells (PSCs), after optimization of the active layer. Hidden between the active layer and cathode of the inverted PSC device configuration is the critical yet often unattended vertical diffusion of the active layer components across CBL. Here, a novel methodology of contrast variation with neutron and anomalous X-ray reflectivity to map the multicomponent depth compositions of inverted PSCs, covering from the active layer surface down to the bottom of the ZnO-based CBL, is developed.

We have identified an often observed yet unresolved intermediate structure in a popular processing with dimethylformamide solutions of lead chloride and methylammonium iodide for perovskite solar cells. With subsecond time-resolved grazing-incidence X-ray scattering and X-ray photoemission spectroscopy, supplemental with ab initio calculation, the resolved intermediate structure (CHNH)PbICl·CHNHI features two-dimensional (2D) perovskite bilayers of zigzagged lead-halide octahedra and sandwiched CHNHI layers. Such intermediate structure reveals a hidden correlation between the intermediate phase and the composition of the processing solution.

Background: In an advanced nuclear power plant (NPP), the operators are responsible for monitoring a massive number of alarm parameters.
Objective: To assist the operators, a monitoring-aid system (MAS), that applies four quality control chart methods, was proposed and evaluated.
Methods: Two types of MAS, namely, text and graph marks, were proposed and compared with the original display.

Background And Objective: Intraoperative awareness refers that patients can recall aspects of their surgery after being put under general anesthesia. This distressing complication causes affected patients to be conscious and probably feel pain, leading to emotional trauma or other sequelae. Monitoring and administrating the depth of anesthesia is necessary to prevent patients from awareness during a medical operation.

We demonstrated here a successful development of the use of functional ionic liquids FIL 1 and FIL 3 for chemoselective detection of alkene gases measured by quartz crystal microbalance. This detection of gaseous alkenes was achieved by the Diels-Alder [4 + 2] cycloadditions with FIL 1 and FIL 3 thin-coated on quartz chips. Our functional ionic liquids could be prepared by straightforward synthetic chemistry in short steps and are superior in alkene gas detection.

The characteristics of the C84-embedded Si surface, such as atomic resolution topography, local electronic density of states, band gap energy, field emission properties, nanomechanical stiffness, and surface magnetism, were examined using a variety of surface analysis techniques under ultra, high vacuum (UHV) conditions as well as in an atmospheric system. Experimental results demonstrate the high uniformity of the C84-embedded Si surface fabricated using a controlled self-assembly nanotechnology mechanism, represents an important development in the application of field emission display (FED), optoelectronic device fabrication, MEMS cutting tools, and in efforts to find a suitable replacement for carbide semiconductors.

Obtaining the horizontal variation of temperature and current fields of a water column usually requires travel-time measurements of acoustic signals traveling along different paths between several horizontally distributed transceivers. This study explores the possibility of using a pair of transceivers deployed in a highly-reverberant harbor environment to extract spatial information of the water. Multipath acoustic propagation of two main arrival groups, i.

Knowledge of the precise rigidity dependence of the helium flux is important in understanding the origin, acceleration, and propagation of cosmic rays. A precise measurement of the helium flux in primary cosmic rays with rigidity (momentum/charge) from 1.9 GV to 3 TV based on 50 million events is presented and compared to the proton flux.

This study evaluated the depth of anesthesia (DoA) index using artificial neural networks (ANN) which is performed as the modeling technique. Totally 63-patient data is addressed, for both modeling and testing of 17 and 46 patients, respectively. The empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is utilized to purify between the electroencephalography (EEG) signal and the noise.

In this study, direct-current magnetron sputtering was used to fabricate Ti-doped indium tin oxide (ITO) thin films. The sputtering power during the 350-nm-thick thin-film production process was fixed at 100 W with substrate temperatures increasing from room temperature to 500 °C. The Ti-doped ITO thin films exhibited superior thin-film resistivity (1.

Electroencephalogram (EEG) signals, as it can express the human brain's activities and reflect awareness, have been widely used in many research and medical equipment to build a noninvasive monitoring index to the depth of anesthesia (DOA). Bispectral (BIS) index monitor is one of the famous and important indicators for anesthesiologists primarily using EEG signals when assessing the DOA. In this study, an attempt is made to build a new indicator using EEG signals to provide a more valuable reference to the DOA for clinical researchers.
