Autoimmune nodopathy (AN) is a rare immune-mediated neuropathy characterized by autoantibodies against nodal or paranodal proteins. Patients with AN generally respond poorly to immunoglobulin therapy, and as a newly defined condition, there are currently no established treatment guidelines. Although rituximab shows potential as a therapeutic option, its high cost, limited availability, and the need for infusion monitoring hinder its use as a first-line treatment in many countries.

Objectives: This study aims to objectively evaluate turning gait parameters in Parkinson disease (PD) patients using 2D-RGB video-based analysis and explore their relationships with imbalance.
Methods: We prospectively enrolled PD patients for clinical assessments, balance analysis and gait with 180' turning. Spatiotemporal gait parameters during turning were derived based on video-based analysis and correlated with modified Hoehn and Yahr (mHY) stages and center of pressure (COP) oscillations.

Background & Aims: Various hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) prediction models have been proposed for patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) using clinical variables. We aimed to develop an artificial intelligence (AI)-based HCC prediction model by incorporating imaging biomarkers derived from abdominal computed tomography (CT) images along with clinical variables.
Methods: An AI prediction model employing a gradient-boosting machine algorithm was developed utilizing imaging biomarkers extracted by DeepFore, a deep learning-based CT auto-segmentation software.

Background: Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a treatment option for osteoarthritis of the knee. After undergoing TKA, patients can be treated with continuous passive motion (CPM); however, inconsistent results have been reported on the effectiveness of CPM as part of a rehabilitation strategy. This discrepancy may be due to the difference between the set-arc of CPM and real arcs of knee motion.

The daily eating window significantly impacts weight and metabolic health, yet its ideal duration remains uncertain. Thirty-four healthy middle-aged women were randomly assigned to two intervention groups: 8-h time-restricted eating (TRE) and 14-h time-extended eating (EXE). Each intervention lasted 4 wk, with a 16-d washout period before switching to the other intervention.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) excels at detecting quantitative changes in microvascular parameters such as cerebral blood volume, cerebral blood flow, and vessel size index (VSI), which are essential for diagnosing and monitoring cerebrovascular diseases. Absolute VSI estimation, often utilizing superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles as contrast agents, relies on measuring transverse relaxation rates (∆R and ∆R). This study systematically investigates the spatial resolution dependence of VSI using Monte Carlo simulations and in vivo rat brain MRI experiments.

Radiotherapy is widely used as an effective non-surgical strategy to control malignant tumors. However, recurrence is one of common causes of treatment failure even after the effective radiotherapy. In this study, we focused on the effects of radiation-induced exosomal miR-21 on the tumor microenvironment to investigate the causes of recurrence.

Aim: To examine the prevalence of second-victim distress among nurses and the association of second-victim distress, organizational support, and interprofessional collaboration with posttraumatic growth.
Background: Medical errors are unavoidable in healthcare; however, when acknowledged and shared, they offer healthcare professionals an opportunity to learn and grow. Second-victim distress arises from learning from mistakes but can be stressful for nurses, prompting some to leave the profession.

Respiratory symptoms are prevalent in the general population, and they are associated with a decline in lung function and increased mortality. The gut-lung connection suggests intestinal dysbiosis may impact lung diseases, with showing promise in regulating extraintestinal diseases. However, its application in patients with respiratory symptoms lacks clinical trial evidence.

Purpose: Given the aggressive nature and poor prognosis of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), adjuvant capecitabine has been the standard therapy for residual disease after preoperative systemic therapy (PST). However, the optimal sequence of postoperative radiation therapy (RT) and capecitabine remains unclear. This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of concurrent RT and capecitabine (RT+CAP) versus sequential RT followed by capecitabine (RT→CAP) in patients with residual TNBC after PST.

COVID-19 has become one of the deadliest epidemics in the past years. In efforts to combat the deadly disease besides vaccines, drug therapies, and facemasks, significant focus has been on designing specific methods for the sensitive and accurate detection of SARS-CoV-2. Of these, surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) is an attractive analytical tool for the identification of SARS-CoV-2.

The lymphatic system plays a crucial role in maintaining physiological homeostasis and regulating immune responses. Traditional imaging modalities such as magnetic resonance imaging, computerized tomography, and positron emission tomography have been widely used to diagnose disorders in the lymphatic system, including lymphedema, lymphangioma, lymphatic metastasis, and Castleman disease. Nano-fluorescence technology has distinct advantages-including naked-eye visibility, operational simplicity, portability of the laser, and real-time visibility-and serves as an innovative alternative to traditional imaging techniques.
