Objectives: This study aimed to determine whether the olfactory bulb height (OBH) measured using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has clinical utility as an imaging biomarker in the evaluation of patients with idiopathic Parkinson's disease (iPD) through its correlation with movement impairment.
Methods: This retrospective study included cognitively intact patients with suspected parkinsonism. All participants underwent T2-weighted imaging to measure OBH.

Purpose Following the introduction of new type of botulinum toxin (MBA-P01), a recent phase 3 study demonstrated that MBA-P01 showed comparable efficacy and safety to onabotulinumtoxin A for reducing glabellar lines. The primary objective of this study was to evaluate the long-term safety of repeated MBA-P01 administration for the treatment of glabellar lines.Materials and methods This multicenter, single-group, repeated-dose, long-term open-label extension study evaluated repeated treatment with MBA-P01 (20 U, five treatments over 16 months), with posttreatment evaluation performed up to 52 weeks.

The type 2 scavenger receptor CD36 functions not only as a long chain fatty acid transporter, but also as a pro-inflammatory mediator. Ceramide is the simple N-acylated form of sphingosine and exerts distinct biological activity depending on its acyl chain length. Six ceramide synthases (CerS) in mammals determine the chain length of ceramide species, and CerS6 mainly produces C16-ceramide.

Background/objectives: Inflammation and ferroptosis are implicated in various diseases and lipopolysaccharides (LPS) have been linked with these disorders. Recently, many edible insects, such as larvae (PB) and larvae, have been recommended as alternative foods because they contain lots of nutritional sources. In this study, we explored the potential of PB extract in preventing LPS-induced inflammation and ferroptosis in Hep3B cells.

Background: The burden of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease is increasing, and limited therapeutic drugs are available for its treatment. Serotonin binds to approximately 14 serotonin receptors (HTR) and plays diverse roles in obesity and metabolic complications. In this study, we focused on the function of HTR4 on nonalcoholic fatty liver disease using GR113808, a selective HTR4 antagonist.

Background: Electroencephalogram burst suppression can be associated with postoperative delirium; however, the results of relevant studies are discrepant. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to assess the association between intraoperative burst suppression and postoperative delirium in adult surgical patients.
Methods: PubMed, MEDLINE, Embase, Google Scholar, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials were systematically searched and updated in May 2023.

Background: Polynucleotide (PN) filler often causes pain and can lead to delivery inaccuracies when applied via intradermal injection using a traditional needle.
Aims: To evaluate the efficacy of treatment and the pain during the procedure using conventional needle injection versus a needle-free jet system for intradermal PN filler application.
Methods: In this split-face clinical trial, 10 Korean subjects were enrolled.

Elevated blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels induced by secondary causes are frequently observed. The identification and appropriate handling of these causes are essential for secondary dyslipidemia treatment. Major secondary causes of hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia include an unhealthy diet, diseases and metabolic conditions affecting lipid levels, and therapeutic side effects.
