Nickel cobalt sulfide nanoparticles (NCS) embedded onto a nitrogen and sulfur dual doped graphene (NS-G) surface are successfully synthesized a two-step facile hydrothermal process. The electrical double-layer capacitor of NS-G acts as a supporting host for the growth of pseudocapacitance NCS nanoparticles, thus enhancing the synergistic electrochemical performance. The specific capacitance values of 1420.

5-Hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) derived from cellulosic sugars has become increasingly important as a platform chemical for the biorefinery industry because of its versatility in the conversion to other chemicals. Although HMF can be produced in high yield from fructose dehydration, fructose is rather expensive because it requires multiple processing steps. On the other hand, HMF can be produced directly from highly abundant glucose, which could reduce time and cost.

Severe hyponatremia is associated with neurological impairment and mortality. Furthermore, severe hyponatremia can be the first presentation of several diseases. Therefore, an appropriate investigation for the underlying causes of hyponatremia apart from the proper correction of sodium levels, might lead to a diagnosis of occult diseases.

Obesity is considered to impair long-term health by disturbing multiple physiological functions. However, it remains a controversial issue as to whether obesity has beneficial or detrimental effects on bone health in postmenopausal women. The aims of this study were to investigate the relationships between obesity and bone mineral density (BMD) under conditions of ovarian hormone deficiency in an animal model and to evaluate the potential health benefits of Greenshell mussel (GSM) on bone health.

Article Synopsis
  • - This study investigates the flower visitors of Fabaceae plants in montane forests in Thailand to identify potential pollinators.
  • - The flowers of these plants have a unique explosive opening mechanism that relies entirely on animals to expose reproductive parts and release pollen.
  • - Findings reveal that non-flying mammals, like squirrels and masked palm civets, play a significant role in pollination, marking the first instance of such mammals contributing to pollination in tropical Asian montane forests.

Knowledge of Thai semislugs remains scarce, especially the dancing semislug genus Prior to the present study, only a single species has been recognized with little available information. To address this knowledge gap, we surveyed for semislugs in western and southern Thailand, which yielded three species belonging to the genus . The little-known type species is redescribed herein, including a comparison with the type specimens.

Soil respiration (SR) in forests contributes significant carbon dioxide emissions from terrestrial ecosystems and is highly sensitive to environmental changes, including soil temperature, soil moisture, microbial community, surface litter, and vegetation type. Indeed, a small change in SR may have large impacts on the global carbon balance, further influencing feedbacks to climate change. Thus, detailed characterization of SR responses to changes in environmental conditions is needed to accurately estimate carbon dioxide emissions from forest ecosystems.

Three new genera are described: (Proteropinae), (Rogadinae), and (Rogadinae). Keys are given for the New World genera of the following braconid subfamilies: Agathidinae, Braconinae, Cheloninae, Homolobinae, Hormiinae, Ichneutinae, Macrocentrinae, Orgilinae, Proteropinae, Rhysipolinae, and Rogadinae. In these subfamilies 416 species are described or redescribed.

The genus is a group of large-sized land snails which have long been used as a food resource by Indochinese people. There are five dextral and four sinistral species currently recognized from Thailand. The dextral group is comprised of two previously recorded species ( and ), two newly recorded species ( and ), and one new species ( ) from northern Thailand is being proposed.

Cytokine release syndrome (CRS) is known to be associated with severe coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). Multiple anti-inflammatory therapies such as tocilizumab, corticosteroids, intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG), and haemoadsorption or haemoperfusion have been used to combat this life-threatening condition. However, immunocompromised hosts are often omitted from research studies, and knowledge on the clinical efficacy of these therapies in immunocompromised patients is therefore limited.

Background Non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (NOACs) have better pharmacologic properties than warfarin and are recommended in preference to warfarin in most patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. Besides lower bleeding complications, other advantages of NOACs over warfarin particularly renal outcomes remain inconclusive. Methods and Results Electronic searches were conducted through Medline, Scopus, Cochrane Library databases, and ClinicalTrial.

Background: Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) can be derived from several tissues such as bone marrow, placenta, adipose tissue, or endometrial tissue. MSCs gain a lot of attention for cell-based therapy due to their characteristics including differentiation ability and immunomodulatory effect. Preclinical and clinical studies demonstrated that MSCs can be applied to treat female infertility by improving of the functions of ovary and uterus.

The micropolydesmoid millipede family Haplodesmidae is here recorded from Cambodia for the first time through the discovery of the first, new species of the genus Silvestri, 1910: This new species is described from two limestone habitats in Kampot Province, based on abundant material. It is easily distinguished from all related congeners by the following combination of characters: body greyish-brown; limbus roundly lobulate; solenomere partially divided from acropodite by a digitiform lobe, but without hairpad. Brief remarks on the previously-proposed "-group" are provided and a second group, the "-group", is established and discussed on the basis of morphological evidence, updating the number of recognised species groups of to two.

Members of the land snail genus Godwin-Austen 1907 are superficially similar and difficult to differentiate by their shell morphology so that their species limits are still unclear. In order to resolve the taxonomy of this group, a phylogenetic reconstruction of is presented, based on morphological and anatomical characters, as well as on partial sequences of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) gene. In total, 23 species of are recognised in Thailand, and nine species are new to science, namely Pholyotha & Panha, , Pholyotha & Panha, , Pholyotha & Panha, , Pholyotha & Panha, , Pholyotha & Panha, , Pholyotha & Panha, , Pholyotha & Panha, , Pholyotha & Panha, , and Pholyotha & Panha, Results from genital examination and COI analyses confirm the monophyly of and its species.

Land snail surveys conducted in northern Laos between 2013 and 2014 have led to the discovery of a living population of (Pfeiffer, 1863). This species has never been recorded from specimens other than the types, and its distribution and anatomy have remained essentially unknown. The genitalia and radula morphology are documented here for the first time and employed to re-assess the systematic position of this species: the unique morphological characters of are a penis similar in length to the vagina, a small and triangular penial verge, gametolytic organs extending as far as the albumen gland, head wart present, and unicuspid triangular radula teeth.
