In this report, we describe an 85-year-old hemodialysis male patient who developed a coronary artery pseudoaneurysm due to physical damage associated with coronary artery calcification. CASE REPORT An 85-year-old man on hemodialysis had undergone emergency percutaneous coronary intervention of the left anterior descending artery for acute coronary syndrome 9 years ago.

Management of temporomandibular joint diseases: a rare case report of coexisting calcium pyrophosphate crystal deposition and synovial chondromatosis.

Background: The coexistence of calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate crystal deposition (CPP) and synovial chondromatosis (SC) in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is rarely reported. CPP disease (CPPD) is complex arthritis synonymous with excessive pyrophosphate production and variable aberrations in mineral and organic phase metabolism of the joint cartilage, leading to local inundated CPP and crystal deposition of partially deciphered predispositions. Meanwhile, SC is a rare benign synovial joint proliferative disease of unclear etiology and has a low risk of malignant transformation.

Background: The prognosis of conservative treatment for fragility fracture of the pelvis (FFP) in the older patients remains poor. Background: Accurate cup placement during total hip arthroplasty (THA) is difficult because the intraoperative pelvic position changes even in supine patient position. We developed a device known as HipPointer; it corrects pelvic rotation and creates a functional pelvic plane as a reference. The aim of this study was to determine the device placement accuracy and investigate causes of error.

Summary of the Clinical Practice Guidelines for Penile Cancer 2021 by the Japanese Urological Association.

Penile cancer is a rare cancer for which no medical guidelines have been established before in Japan. These guidelines aim to standardize, as much as possible, the therapeutic modality for penile cancer, for which empirical evidence is limited on a global scale, thereby bolstering therapeutic outcomes for patients with penile cancer. Evaluation of the Influence of a History of Childhood Nocturnal Enuresis on Nighttime Urinary Frequency and the Causes of Nocturia in Adults.

Objective: To examine whether a history of nocturnal enuresis affects nighttime urinary frequency and to evaluate nocturia etiologies in adults.

Materials And Methods: A total of 143 participants with at least one episode of nocturia per night were included in this study. The self-reported questionnaire collected data on demographic characteristics, medical history, history of nocturnal enuresis in elementary school, lower urinary tract symptoms, and frequency-volume charts.

Successful Endovascular Repair of a Kommerell's Diverticulum and a Right-Sided Aortic Arch.

Background: A 57-year-old woman was diagnosed with Kommerell's diverticulum in the setting of a right aortic arch on computed tomography.

Case Report: Although asymptomatic, the maximum diameter of the aneurysm was 55 mm; thus, she underwent surgery to prevent rupture of the aneurysm. A bypass was constructed from the left common carotid artery to the left subclavian artery.

Histopathological distinction between adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATLL) and other T-cell neoplasms is often challenging. The current gold standard for the accurate diagnosis of ATLL is the Southern blot hybridization (SBH) assay, which detects clonal integration of human T-cell leukemia virus type I (HTLV-1) provirus. However, SBH cannot be performed with small biopsy or formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples because this assay requires a large amount of DNA without degradation.

Retrograde Type A Aortic Dissection after Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair for Type B Dissection.

Background: A 64-year-old woman presented with dilatation of the distal aortic arch secondary to chronic type B aortic dissection.

Case Report: The patient underwent fenestrated thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) for closure of the entry site, and reconstruction of the left subclavian artery with a covered stent. On the 40th postoperative day, a retrograde type A aortic dissection (RTAD) was observed on computed tomography and she underwent emergency surgery.

Although only ∼5% of HTLV-1 carriers progress to ATL, early diagnosis is challenging because of the lack of ATL biomarkers. In this study, we analyzed blood plasma profiles of asymptomatic HTLV-1 carriers (ACs); untreated ATL patients, including acute, lymphoma, smoldering, and chronic types; and ATL patients in remission.

[A Case of Cecum Cancer with Synchronous Adrenal Solitary Metastasis].

We herein report a case of cecum cancer with synchronous adrenal solitary metastasis. A 62-year-old woman who had been treated for other disease complained of weight loss. Lower endoscopy revealed cecum cancer, and computed tomography( CT)demonstrated a solitary left adrenal tumor; thus, she was diagnosed with a metastatic tumor.
