Background: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a hematologic tumor with poor prognosis and significant clinical heterogeneity. By integrating transcriptomic data, single-cell RNA sequencing data and independently collected RNA sequencing data this study aims to identify key genes in AML and establish a prognostic assessment model to improve the accuracy of prognostic prediction.
Materials And Methods: We analyzed RNA-seq data from AML patients and combined it with single-cell RNA sequencing data to identify genes associated with AML prognosis.

Background: Age-related cataract (ARC) is among the most common blinding eye disorders among the elderly. Prenatal nutrition may cause irreversible damage to the development of the ocular crystalline lens. Nevertheless, the potential association between prenatal malnutrition and age-related cataract has not been thoroughly examined.

Gas therapy represents a promising strategy for cancer treatment, with nitric oxide (NO) therapy showing particular potential in tumor therapy. However, ensuring sufficient production of NO remains a significant challenge. Leveraging ultrasound-responsive nanoparticles to promote the release of NO is an emerging way to solve this challenge.

Background: Laparoscopic radical antegrade modular pancreatosplenectomy combined with celiac axis resection and portal vein reconstruction is a new procedure for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. This surgical technique may offer patients with pancreatic cancer involving the portal vein and celiac axis an opportunity for radical surgical resection. We aim to evaluate the short- and long-term efficacy and describe the surgical details of this technique.

Up to half of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cases are diagnosed at an advanced stage, for which effective treatment options are lacking, resulting in a poor prognosis. Over the past few years, the combination of immune checkpoint inhibitors and anti-angiogenic targeted therapy has proven highly efficacious in treating advanced HCC, significantly extending patients' survival and providing a potential for sequential curative surgery. After sequential curative hepatectomy or liver transplantation following conversion therapy, patients can receive long-term survival benefits.

Background: Early detection of anxiety symptoms can support early intervention and may help reduce the burden of disease in later life in the elderly with abdominal obesity, thereby increasing the chances of healthy aging. The objective of this research is to formulate and validate a predictive model that forecasts the probability of developing anxiety symptoms in elderly Chinese individuals with abdominal obesity.
Method: This research's model development and internal validation encompassed 2,427 participants from the 2017-2018 Study of the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey (CLHLS).

Background: Intrahepatic and perihepatic abscess (IPHA) is a severe yet understudied complication that can occur after hepatectomy. This multicenter study aimed to elucidate the clinical features, risk factors, and outcomes of IPHA after hepatectomy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and to develop a novel prediction model for personalized risk assessment.
Methods: This was a multicenter cohort study of HCC patients who underwent curative-intent hepatectomy.

We aimed to investigate the mechanism of high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) in the accelerated fracture healing process during Traumatic brain injury (TBI). The lateral ventricles of mice in the TBI model group were injected with adenovirus-packaged short hairpin RNA (shRNA)-HMGB1 or overexpressing (ov)-HMGB1 vector. We found HMGB1 levels were higher in bone tissue at the fracture end of TBI combined with fracture model mice.

Background: The value of Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) radiological features and tumor three-dimensional volumetric quantification in preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for predicting the vessels encapsulating tumor clusters (VETC) pattern of solitary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is unknown. This study aimed to assess the value of these indicators for predicting the VETC pattern of solitary HCC.
Methods: In total, 36 patients with HCC were selected from a cohort containing 126 patients for further data evaluation.

Background: Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma(HNSCC) is the sixth most common malignancy worldwide, with more than 890,000 new cases and 450,000 deaths annually. Its major risk factors include smoking, alcohol abuse, aging, and poor oral hygiene. Due to the lack of early and effective detection and screening methods, many patients are diagnosed at advanced stages with a five-year survival rate of less than 50%.

Submicron ultrasound contrast agents hold great potential to extend the bubble-mediated theranostics beyond the vasculature, but their acoustic response and the interaction effects between them remain poorly understood. This study set out to numerically examine the interaction effects on the subharmonic oscillations of nanobubbles and the resultant acoustic emissions under subharmonic resonance conditions. Results showed that a negative correlation between bubble size and subharmonic resonance frequency is readily obtained from the radius response curves.
