Objective: Diabetes is a well-known risk factor for frailty that has been associated with adverse prognosis. However, the association of frailty with all-cause and cardiovascular disease (CVD) mortality in patients with prediabetes has not been thoroughly explored.
Methods: Participants with prediabetes were derived from the 1999-2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey and followed up for all-cause and CVD mortality until December 31, 2019.

A set of semantic similarity calculation methods combining full-text text and domain knowledge topics is proposed for the current study of entity association relations such as disease-gene in medical texts combined with topics in knowledge discovery, which is insufficient to reveal the deep semantic association relations of medical domain knowledge at topic level. We explored the dynamic features of brain edema after traumatic brain injury (TBI) using healthy adult male Wistar rats. After inducing moderate brain injuries in the rats, we divided them randomly among seven groups on the basis of the time elapsed between TBI and examination: 1, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72, and 168 h. All rats were scanned using diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) to observe tissue changes in the contusion penumbra (CP) after TBI.
