Sepsis is a common critical illness characterized by high mortality rates and a significant disease burden. In the context of sepsis-induced organ dysfunction, the lungs are among the initial organs affected, which may progress to acute lung injury (ALI) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Recent studies have highlighted the crucial roles of mitophagy and ferroptosis in the development and progression of sepsis-induced ALI/ARDS.

Background: Sodium tanshinone IIA sulfonate (STS) has been widely used by Chinese medicine practitioners for chronic cardiovascular diseases. However, its direct clinical efficacy in patients with acute coronary syndrome following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has not been reported yet. The present trial aimed to investigate potential cardioprotection of STS in patients undergoing PCI for non-ST elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS).

Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of acupuncture at Sifeng (EX-UE10) combined with Wang's Baochi Pills in the treatment of pediatric malnutrition, so as to provide a more effective method for pediatric malnutrition.

Methods: A total of 201 children with malnutrition were randomly divided into combined treatment group (＝102) and control (Baochi Pill) group (＝99). The children in the combined treatment group were treated by acupuncture stimulation of Sifeng (EX-UE10, till no more yellowish-white effusion out) and oral administration of Wang's Baochi Pills, and those in the control group treated by oral administration of Wang's Baochi Pills only.

Comparing the efficacy of pain managements after total hip arthroplasty: A network meta-analysis.

The aim of our current study is to compare efficiency of various interventions implemented for pain management after total hip arthroplasty (THA). PubMed and EMBASE were searched for randomized clinical trials (RCTs) reporting the pain scales for evaluate the efficacy of pain control after THA including at least one pair of direct control groups. Pain scale values and the associated 95% credible interval (CrI) were used to describe efficacy.
