The role of α7nAchR and PD-L1 in neuroimmune regulation of keloid treatment.

Cell Signal

September 2024

Department of Plastic Surgery, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, Shanghai, China. Electronic address:

Keloid formation, characterized by aberrant fibroproliferation and immune dysregulation, remains a challenging clinical concern. This study aims to elucidate the neuroimmune mechanisms underlying keloid pathogenesis and explores the efficacy of a combined treatment approach involving modulation of the α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (α7nAchR), a key player in neural transmission, and programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1), an immune checkpoint molecule, for keloid intervention. A key innovation lies in the identification of signal peptide-CUB-EGF-like domain-containing protein 3 (SCUBE3) as a potential target gene influenced by this dual treatment.

Diagnostic value of fluorine-18 deoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography in deep sternal wound infection.

J Plast Reconstr Aesthet Surg

December 2018

Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Zhong-shan Hospital, 180 Fenglin Road, Xuhui District, Shanghai, China. Electronic address:

Objectives: Deep sternal wound infection (DSWI) is a refractory complication after heart surgery, and debridement is the first-line treatment. The accurate identification of the extent of the infection is the key to successful debridement. The present study assessed the diagnostic accuracy of fluorine-18 deoxyglucose (F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) for identifying the infected area of DSWI.

Background: Augmented reality (AR)-based navigation surgery has evolved to be an advanced assisted technology. The aim of this study is to manifest the accuracy of AR navigation for the intraoperative mandibular angle osteotomy by comparing the navigation with other interventional techniques.

Methods: A retrospective study was conducted with 93 post-surgical patients with mandibular angle hypertrophy admitted at our plastic and reconstructive surgery department between September 2011 and June 2016.

HDAC6 interacts with PTPN1 to enhance melanoma cells progression.

Biochem Biophys Res Commun

January 2018

Department of Plastic Surgery, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, 180 Fenglin Rd, Shanghai 200032, China. Electronic address:

Histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC6) plays an important role in oncogenic transformation and cancer metastasis. Our previous study has demonstrated that HDAC6 was highly expressed in melanoma cells, and contributed to the proliferation and metastasis of melanoma cells. However, the underlying mechanism of HDAC6 in melanoma metastasis and progression remains largely unclear.
