Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) is a rare cerebrovascular disease that can occur at any age and generally has a good prognosis. Polycythemia vera and nephrotic syndrome are uncommon risk factors for cerebral venous sinus thrombosis. A dilemma exists in the treatment of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis with polycythemia vera and nephrotic syndrome, as some cases are refractory to first-line therapy.

Background: Existence of acquired or intrinsic resistance to Temozolomide (TMD) remains a point of concern in treating glioblastoma (GBM). Here we established mechanism by which Phenethyl isothiocyanate (PEITC) reverses TMD resistance in T98G cell lines both and .
Methods: For the study TMD-resistant cell lines were generated by stepwise exposing the parental cell lines (U87 and U373) to TMD.
There is a high desire for novel targets/biomarkers to diagnose and treat colorectal cancer (CRC). Here, an approach starting from a polyacrylamide hydrogel-based lectin microarray is presented to screen the high expression of glycans on the CRC cell surface and to identify new lectin biomarkers for CRC. Three common CRC cell lines (SW480, SW620, and HCT116) and one normal colon cell line (NCM460) are profiled on the microarray with 27 lectins.

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), which account for the most of lung carcinoma, is sometimes difficult to differentiate from benign lung diseases presented with nodular shadow in imaging scan. There is a need to find another non-invasive way to diagnosis early-stage NSCLC. To examine the potential diagnostic value of SCC, CFYRA 21-1 and CEA for the differentiation of early-stage NCSCL from benign lung diseases, we analyzed serum levels of tumor markers in 278 patients, including 248 patients with NSCLC and 30 patients with benign lung diseases.

Tumour markers are used extensively for the management of lung cancer, including diagnosis, evaluating effectiveness of treatments, monitoring recurrence after therapy and for predicting prognosis. However, there exists a knowledge gap regarding potential quantitative correlations between tumour marker levels and the extents of lymph node involvement in primary lung cancer. The current study is comprised of 139 lung cancer patients scheduled to undergo surgical operation.

Objective: This study aims to identify the target gene of hsa-miR-195 and to research the molecular mechanism of hsa-miR-195 which is through its target genes in the colorectal cancer invasion and metastasis.
Methods: We used biological informatics (RNAhybrid and Target Scan analysis database) to predict the target genes of hsa-miR-195. Collected colon cancer tissues from clinical colorectal cancer patients by surgical removal of the carcinoma and control tissues, and researched the expression of Bcl-2 in tissues by immunohistochemical.
