Objectives: With the increasing application of 5G remote ultrasound robots in healthcare, robust methods are in critical demand to assess participant satisfaction and identify its influencing factors. At present, there is limited empirical research on multi-parametric and multidimensional satisfaction evaluation of participants with 5G remote ultrasound robot examination. Previous studies have demonstrated that structural equation modeling (SEM) effectively integrates various statistical techniques to examine the relationships among multiple variables.

This study aimed to assess the diagnostic potential of microRNA-181 (miR-181) family members in oral biofluids, namely saliva and gingival crevicular fluid (GCF), as biomarkers for periodontitis severity. A cohort of 150 patients with periodontitis, including 82 with mild to moderate and 68 with advanced periodontitis, along with 90 healthy controls, were recruited. Analysis of miR-181 family expression using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) revealed differential expression levels in oral biofluids among the study groups.

Interleukin-6 (IL-6), a pivotal pro-inflammatory cytokine, is closely linked to vascular wall thickening and atherosclerotic lesion. Since serum IL-6 levels are largely determined by the genetic variant in IL-6, this study was conducted to investigate whether the IL-6 variant impacts cardiometabolic profile and the risk of premature coronary artery disease (PCAD). PubMed, Cochrane Library, Central, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), and ClinicalTrials.

Background: The latest evidence indicates that ATP-binding cassette superfamily G member 2 (ABCG2) is critical in regulating lipid metabolism and mediating statin or cholesterol efflux. This study investigates whether the function variant loss within ABCG2 (rs2231142) impacts lipid levels and statin efficiency.
Methods: PubMed, Cochrane Library, Central, CINAHL, and ClinicalTrials.

Background: Venous thromboembolism significantly contributes to patient deterioration and mortality. Management of its etiology and anticoagulation treatment is intricate, necessitating a comprehensive consideration of various factors, including the bleeding risk, dosage, specific anticoagulant medications, and duration of therapy. Herein, a case of lower extremity thrombosis with multiple primary malignant tumors and high risk of bleeding was reviewed to summarize the shortcomings of treatment and prudent anticoagulation experience.

The modulation of gene expression via DNA methylation modifications is relevant to the pathogenesis of periodontitis. This study aimed at identifying novel biomarkers in gingival tissues from periodontitis by integrally analyzing methylation profiles and gene expression data. Differential gene expressions (DGEs) of dataset GSE106090 were obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database for Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway analysis.

Fear and misinformation lead to widespread myths in the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, such as "consuming high-strength alcohol kills the virus in the inhaled air." However, whether alcohol consumption can affect COVID-19 has not been clarified yet. This study aims to investigate the impact of alcohol consumption on COVID-19 severity.

Background: Emerging evidence indicates tribbles homolog 1 (Trib1) protein may be involved in lipid metabolism regulation and coronary artery disease (CAD) pathogenesis. However, whether gene variants affect lipid levels and CAD remains elusive, this study is aimed at clarifying the effect of variants on lipid profile and CAD.
Methods: By searching PubMed and Cochrane databases for studies published before December 18, 2022, a total of 108,831 individuals were included for the analysis.

Accumulating evidence has shown that the rs738409 polymorphism of patatin-like phospholipase domain-containing 3 (PNPLA3) is associated with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Since NAFLD has been reported to be associated with lipid metabolism, this study is conducted to explore whether the rs738409 polymorphism of PNPLA3 was associated with lipid levels. By searching PubMed and the Cochrane database from May 31, 2020, to June 30, 2021.

Ultrasound imaging is regarded as a highly sensitive imaging modality used in routine clinical examinations. Over the last several decades, ultrasound contrast agents have been widely applied in ultrasound molecular cancer imaging to improve the detection, characterization, and quantification of tumors. To date, a few new potential preclinical and clinical applications regarding ultrasound molecular cancer imaging are being investigated.

Objective: Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory infectious disease caused by the deposition of dental plaque on the tooth surface, leading to adverse systemic consequences. Accumulating evidence shows that dysregulated microRNAs (miRNAs) are associated with the disease severity of periodontitis. Herein, we report two novel miRNAs, miR-30b-3p and miR-125b-1-3p, in the context of periodontitis and their relationships with disease severity of periodontitis.

Cortisol is a major glucocorticoid that can affect physiological activities in the human body. Besides, it is also a biomarker that can reflect the stress state of the body. Therefore, in order to monitor stress states in a sensitive and non-invasive manner, an ultra-sensitive aptamer-antibody sandwich sensor modified with multi-walled carbon nanotubes, ordered mesoporous carbon CMK-3, and silver nanoparticles (MWCNTs/CMK-3/AgNPs) was proposed for non-invasive detection of cortisol in human saliva.

In the present study, we investigated the role of lncRNA mus during cerebral impairment induced by stroke. DLX6-AS1 levels were upregulated during ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) and downregulation of DLX6-AS1 reduced acute injury and ameliorated long-term neurological impairments induced by cerebral I/R in mice. Additionally, silencing of DLX6-AS1 significantly decreased the neuronal apoptosis in vivo and in vitro.
