Forest landscape model can quantitatively simulate the spatiotemporal variations in forest structure and function at the landscape scale based on traditional field survey data and mathematical models, providing a reference for the formulation of scientific forest management strategies. FireBGCv2 is one of the representative models currently used in the research area of forest landscape changes. It can simulate ecological processes at various scales, including trees scale (tree growth, establishment, and mortality), stand scale (carbon and nitrogen pools, fuel treatment, decomposition), site scale (resource competition and species phenology), and landscape scale (seed dispersal and wildfire disturbances), and the effects of those processes on forest landscape structure and function.

Accurately quantifying the impact of climatic and anthropogenic factors on vegetation change is critical for developing and evaluating ecological management strategies. However, most presented studies typically ignore the climate temporal effects and assume that all pixels are affected by both climate change (CC) and human activities (HA), which often introduce uncertainties. In this study, Leaf area index (LAI), temperature, precipitation, solar radiation, and land cover data from 1982 to 2020 were used to detect and attribute vegetation dynamics in China.

Photosynthesis is a direct route for carbon sequestration in vegetation, and is influenced by climatic variation (CV) and human activities (HA). Therefore, a quantitative assessment of their influence on vegetation photosynthesis dynamics is pivotal for formulating effective carbon neutrality strategies. Herein, based on the solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence index (SIF), which reflects the vegetation photosynthesis intensity, and TerraClimate meteorological data, we refined the residual trend approach by incorporating more climatic variables and their time effects on vegetation to assess the influences of CV and HA on SIF dynamics in Southwest China.

Aiming at the Terrestrial Water Storage(TWS) changes in the Amazon River basin, this article uses the coordinate time series data of the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), adopts the Variational Mode Decomposition and Bidirectional Long and Short Term Memory(VMD-BiLSTM) method to extract the vertical crustal deformation series, and then adopts the Principal Component Analysis(PCA) method to invert the changes of terrestrial water storage in the Amazon Basin from July 15, 2012 to July 25, 2018. Then, the GNSS inversion results were compared with the equivalent water height retrieved from Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) data. The results show that (1) the extraction method proposed in this article has better denoising effect than the traditional method; (2) the surface hydrological load deformation can be well calculated using GNSS coordinate vertical time series, and then the regional TWS changes can be inverted, which has a good consistency with the result of GRACE inversion of water storage, and has almost the same seasonal variation characteristics; (3) There is a strong correlation between TWS changes retrieved by GNSS based on surface deformation characteristics and water mass changes calculated by GRACE based on gravitational field changes, but GNSS satellite's all-weather measurement results in a finer time scale compared with GRACE inversion results.

Soil erosion is one of the most serious ecological and environmental problems facing southern China. The Changhua River Basin on Hainan Island is affected by soil erosion, which is causing the soil environment to become more fragile. Compared with the Revised Soil Erosion Equation (RUSLE), the Chinese Soil Loss Equation (CSLE) is based on a large amount of Chinese local data and research results, which more accurately reflect the actual situation of soil erosion in China and therefore have better accuracy and applicability in the Chinese region.

Exploring farmers' willingness to pay (WTP) for cultivated land protection and its influencing factors is key to promoting their enthusiasm for participating in cultivated land pollution governance. However, existing studies often overlook the differences in farmers' preference for different levels of cultivated land attributes and the issue of intertemporal choice in farmers' WTP, thus lowering the effectiveness of cultivated land protection policies. Using survey data from 646 small farmers in Shandong, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang provinces of China, this study empirically analyzes the impact of time preference on farmers' WTP for cultivated land attribute levels by utilizing the choice experiment method, measures the relative importance of different cultivated land attributes and attribute levels to farmers, and calculates farmers' WTP for different cultivated land attribute levels.

In the preprocessing of high-precision navigation and positioning data, the most widely used MW combination cycle slip detection method is greatly affected by pseudorange noise. It has issues such as missing small cycle slips and failing to promptly reset the recursive averaging process after cycle slip detection failure, which leads to subsequent threshold divergence. This paper proposes an improved MW combination cycle slip detection method based on Complete Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition (CEEMDAN), permutation entropy, and wavelet denoising, which uses CEEMDAN to decompose the cycle slip signal into a series of intrinsic modal functions (IMFs) and then selects the IMFs that require denoising through the permutation entropy algorithm, and the wavelet denoising technique is combined to eliminate the residual noise further, so that the noise can be removed more accurately.

Land use changes are always patchy and widespread within a region, making it a challenge to identify the point-scale pressure of reducing carbon emissions from land use/cover change (LUCC). The carbon emission observation index (CEOI) was thus proposed to conduct the point-scale comparability analysis, which was based on the unique net C flux effects of conversions between two different land use types. Then, the spatial-temporal characteristics of land use changes and the resulting pressure of reducing carbon emissions were studied in the Weihe River Basin of China, which adopted the LUCC data from 2000 to 2020 and models of the Markov transition matrix (MTM), compound carbon emission coefficients (CEC) of various types of land use changes, and the CEOI-based classification method on point-scale pressure of reducing carbon emissions.
