Background: Circular RNAs (circRNAs) function as essential regulatory elements with pivotal roles in various biological processes. However, their expression profiles and functional regulation during the differentiation of goat myoblasts have not been thoroughly explored. This study conducts an analysis of circRNA expression profiles during the proliferation phase (cultured in growth medium, GM) and differentiation phase (cultured in differentiation medium, DM1/DM5) of skeletal muscle satellite cells (MuSCs) in goats.

In recent years, ready-to-eat soft-boiled chicken eggs, with coagulated whites and semi-solid yolks have become popular among Chinese consumers due to their convenience, tender texture, and nutritional benefits. However, the standards for these products are currently inconsistent, and quality evaluation parameters and food safety issues remain unclear. Softness ratio, representing the semi-liquid yolk proportion in a cross-section, was defined through a survey of different brands of ready-to-eat soft-boiled chicken eggs.

Article Synopsis
  • Fresh yak meat is nutritious but spoils quickly, making preservation methods essential.
  • A study showed that hydrogel coatings made from konjac glucomannan and gallic acid (KGX) significantly improved preservation at -1°C, keeping the meat safe for consumption for up to 16-20 days.
  • The KGX coating reduced bacterial growth and spoilage indicators, proving to be an effective method for extending the shelf life of fresh yak meat.

Institute of Plant Nutrition, Resource and Environment, Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences, Beijing 100097, China.

The application of organic fertilizers is one of the most important agricultural measures aimed at improving the flavor and productivity of , with the granulation and coating of organic fertilizers, which can reduce seepage losses of great significance to the ecosystem. In this study, Jingcai 8 tomato was selected as the test material. Headspace solid-phase microextraction and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS) methods were used to investigate the effects of different pelletized organic fertilizers and various coating materials on the flavor profile of the tomatoes.
