Slc7a5 is an important amino acid transporter that is highly expressed in metabolically active and rapidly proliferating cells. To explore the effect of Slc7a5 on adult B cell development, we conditionally deleted Slc7a5 in murine B cells and observed a significant reduction of B1a cells. A recent molecular phylogenetic analysis of the Caesalpinia group demonstrated that it comprises 26 genera, but the recognition of a putative 27 genus, , remained in doubt. This study presents a phylogenetic analysis of ITS and five plastid loci revealing a robustly supported monophyletic group representing the Ticanto clade, sister to the morphologically distinct genus . Based upon this evidence, along with a morphological evaluation, the genus is here reinstated.

Background: During two scientific expeditions in the South China Sea and the Kyushu-Palau Ridge area, several specimens of thread-leg shrimp were collected from deep waters.
