We report a highly regioselective 1,2-addition of P(O)-H compounds to the in situ generated β,γ-alkynyl-α-ketimine derived from 3-alkynyl-3-hydroxyisoindolinones, which provided a general protocol for the preparation of 3,3-disubstituted isoindolinones featuring both phosphoryl and alkynyl groups at a quaternary carbon center. The use of only 2-5 mol % of an inexpensive catalyst (In(ClO)·8HO or Bi(OTf)) allowed the smooth output of the desired products under mild conditions (25 °C, 0.5-24 h) with a broad substrate scope (35 examples) in up to >99% yield.

Remodeling the Proinflammatory Microenvironment in Osteoarthritis through Interleukin-1 Beta Tailored Exosome Cargo for Inflammatory Regulation and Cartilage Regeneration.

National Engineering Research Center for Biomaterials, College of Biomedical Engineering, Sichuan University, 29 Wangjiang Road, Chengdu 610064, P. R. China.

Osteoarthritis (OA) presents a significant therapeutic challenge, with few options for preserving joint cartilage and repairing associated tissue damage. Inflammation is a pivotal factor in OA-induced cartilage deterioration and synovial inflammation. Recently, exosomes derived from human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (HucMSCs) have gained recognition as a promising noncellular therapeutic modality, but their use is hindered by the challenge of harvesting a sufficient number of exosomes with effective therapeutic efficacy.

Center for Advanced Analytical Science, Guangzhou Key Laboratory of Sensing Materials and Devices, Guangdong Engineering Technology Research Center for Sensing Materials and Devices, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Guangzhou University, Guangzhou 510006, P. R. China.

The screening of glycoprotein markers has become an integral part of the in vitro diagnosis of malignant tumors. Herein, an electrochemical method based on alkaline phosphatase (ALP)-mediated enzymatic silver deposition is reported for the highly sensitive detection of glycoprotein tumor markers, in which ALP enzymes are decorated to the glycan moieties of targets via the lectin-carbohydrate interactions. As glycoproteins are conjugated with multiple glycan chains, lectin-mediated labeling can result in the decoration of each target with multiple ALP enzymes.

Flavonoids, a group of natural pigments, have attracted notable attention for their intrinsic fluorescent bioactive properties and potential therapeutic implications. Recent studies have suggested that the photoexcitation of specific flavonoids can also lead to the formation of triplet states, thereby potentially enhancing their applications in photoactivated antioxidant mechanisms. However, the crucial mechanism details about triplet state formation are still poorly understood.

Boosting Multicolor Emission Enhancement in Two-Dimensional Covalent-Organic Frameworks via the Pressure-Tuned π-π Stacking Mode.

Synergetic Extreme Condition High-Pressure Science Center, State Key Laboratory of Superhard Materials, College of Physics, Jilin University, Changchun 130012, China.

Covalent-organic frameworks (COFs) are dynamic covalent porous organic materials constructed from emissive molecular organic building blocks. However, most two-dimensional (2D) COFs are nonemissive or weakly emissive in the solid state owing to the intramolecular rotation and vibration together with strong π-π interactions. Herein, we report a pressure strategy to achieve the bright multicolor emission from yellow to red in the 2D triazine triphenyl imine COF (TTI-COF).

Low-dose quinine targets KCNH6 to potentiate glucose-induced insulin secretion.

Department of Endocrinology, Beijing Diabetes Institute, Beijing Key Laboratory of Diabetes Research and Care, Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University, Beijing 100730, China.

Insulin secretion is mainly regulated by two electrophysiological events, depolarization initiated by the closure of ATP-sensitive K+ (KATP) channels and repolarization mediated by K+ efflux. Quinine, a natural component commonly used for the treatment of malaria, has been reported to directly stimulate insulin release and lead to hypoglycemia in patients during treatment through inhibiting KATP channels. In this study, we verified the insulinotropic effect of quinine on the isolated mouse pancreatic islets.

Aims: Supplementing Lactobacillus alongside antibiotic treatment was a curative strategy to modulate gut microbiota and alleviate antibiotic-associated dysbiosis. But the lactobacilli that are used as probiotics are sensitive or have a low level of resistance to antibiotics, so they usually cannot achieve their beneficial effect, since they are killed by the applied antibiotics. This work aimed to develop the highly resistant Lactiplantibacillus plantarum subsp.

Two-dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), such as WSe, are promising candidates for next-generation integrated circuits. However, the dependence of intrinsic properties of TMD devices on various processing steps remains largely unexplored. Here, using pristine p-type WSe devices as references, we comprehensively studied the influence of each step in traditional nanofabrication methods on device performance.

Electronic address:

Existing cross-domain mechanical fault diagnosis methods primarily achieve feature alignment by directly optimizing interdomain and category distances. However, this approach can be computationally expensive in multi-target scenarios or fail due to conflicting objectives, leading to decreased diagnostic performance. To avoid these issues, this paper introduces a novel method called domain feature disentanglement.

Event-triggered adaptive compensation control for stochastic nonlinear systems with multiple failures: An improved switching threshold strategy.

Electronic address:

This paper considers the event-triggered adaptive fault-tolerant control (FTC) problem for a class of stochastic nonlinear systems suffering from finite number of actuator failures and abrupt system external failure. Unlike existing event-triggered mechanisms (ETMs), this paper proposes an improved switching threshold mechanism (STM) that effectively addresses the potential system security hazards caused by large signal impulses when both the magnitude size of the controller and its rate of change are too large, while also saving energy consumption. Especially, when the occurrence of both actuator failure and system external failure may lead to over-change rate of the controller, by using the multi-dimensional Taylor network (MTN) approximation technique, the adaptive fault-tolerant control scheme designed based on the improved STM not only has lower resource consumption, but also indirectly improves the control performance of the system by ensuring the system security operation.

The voltage is one of limited reliable information for battery management system, and the faults of voltage sampling will result in adverse effects and lead to potential risks for operation, which emphasize the importance for investigating the failure modes of voltage sampling and diagnosis algorithm. In this article, a knowledge-data driven sampling diagnosis algorithm is established and an online intelligent diagnosis algorithm is proposed accordingly based on outlier detection with fuzzy entropy. The fault diagnosis algorithm is established and evaluated under positive exploitation, where the knowledge-base of failure mode based on equivalent simulating models is firstly constructed.
