Adolescents and young adults are considered a high-risk group for internet gaming disorder (IGD). Early screening for high-risk individuals with IGD and exploring the underlying neural mechanisms is an effective strategy to reduce the harm of IGD. We recruited 219 non-internet gaming addicted college students and evaluated them with magnetic resonance imaging, followed by a two-year longitudinal follow-up.

As immunosuppressive cells, Regulatory T cells (Tregs) exert their influence on tumor immune escape within the tumor microenvironment (TME) by effectively suppressing the activity of other immune cells, thereby significantly impeding the anti-tumor immune response. In recent years, the metabolic characteristics of Tregs have become a focus of research, especially the important role of lipid metabolism in maintaining the function of Tregs. Consequently, targeted interventions aimed at modulating lipid metabolism in Tregs have been recognized as an innovative and promising approach to enhance the effectiveness of tumor immunotherapy.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of non-pharmacological interventions in improving chemotherapy induced delayed nausea and vomiting symptoms using a network meta-analysis.
Methods: Four Chinese databases (CNKI, Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, VIP, Sinomed) and five English databases (PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, Web of Science, CINAHL) were searched from the establishment of the database to April 2024. A Bayesian network meta-analysis was performed on the response rate to the improvement of chemotherapy induced delayed nausea and vomiting, as well as improvement in KPS score, under different non-pharmacological interventions by using R 4.

CO/CH separation is crucial for biogas upgrading. In this study, the bamboo-derived activated carbons (BACs) were prepared with different ratios of potassium hydroxide (KOH)/bamboo charcoal (BC), and the hybrid sorbents of aqueous BACs were developed for CO/CH separation. Both the gas solubility and sorption rate were measured, and Henry's constant and liquid-side mass-transfer coefficient as well as the CO/CH selectivity were calculated.

Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) has garnered increasing attention in carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) due to their ecological friendliness. However, most of them suffer susceptibility to deactivation in harsh conditions. Herein, a reliable dataset was adopted for creating ancestral CAs through an optimized ancestral sequence reconstruction (ASR) method.

Phenazine-1,6-dicarboxylic acid (PDC) is a precursor of complex substituted phenazines used as pesticides and pharmaceuticals. The PDC biosynthesis exists the low production and the high proportion of by-products phenazine-1-carboxylic acid (PCA) derivatives in Pseudomonas P3△A. Herein, PDC production were improved by systematic metabolic engineering and synthetic regulation.

Gastric cancer (GC) remains a significant global health burden due to its high aggressiveness, early metastasis, and poor prognosis. Despite advances in chemotherapy and targeted therapies, drug resistance remains a major obstacle to improving patient outcomes. Integrins, a family of transmembrane receptors, play a pivotal role in mediating tumor growth, invasion, and drug resistance by interacting with the tumor microenvironment (TME) and regulating signaling pathways such as Wnt/β-catenin, FAK, and MAPK.

Unlabelled: Minimal residual disease (MRD) is the most important prognostic factor for B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) however nearly 20-30% of patients relapsed even when they achieved negative MRD, how to identify these patients is less addressed. In this study, we aimed to reassess the prognostic significance of MRD and IKZF1 in adult B-ALL patients receiving pediatric chemotherapy regimens. In the PDT-ALL-2016 cohort (NCT03564470), adult B-ALL patients were treated with a pediatric-inspired regimen; patients were redefined as standard (MRD-negative and IKZF1wild-type), intermediate (MRD-positive or IKZF1 deletion), and high-risk (MRD-positive and IKZF1 deletion) groups by combining IKZF1 deletion status and MRD.

The fate of the pollutants in aquatic environment is closely related to colloids, and the carrier effect of colloids on pollutants not only affects their bioaccumulation, but may also affect their toxicity. In this study, the effects of natural colloid with different components on the biological toxicity of benzophenone-3 (BP3) to zebrafish larvae (Diano rerio) were studied. BP3 caused oxidative stress damage, thyroid system disorders and neurotoxicity in zebrafish larvae.

Interpreting heavy metal variations in sedimentary records is an important approach to understand historical pollution. However, few studies have investigated the reliability of different heavy metals in sedimentary records for reconstructing historical pollution. This study retrieved two adjacent lakes' sediment cores from a remote area in North China and investigated their temporal changes in excessive metal fluxes.

Propyrisulfuron, a novel sulfonylurea herbicide, effectively suppresses intracellular acetolactate synthase activity for weed control, but its adsorption behavior in the soil environment remains unclear. To assess potential agroecosystem risks, the adsorption-desorption behavior and mechanism of propyrisulfuron in six typical agricultural soils of China were investigated using a batch equilibrium method, Density Functional Theory (DFT), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), and Scanning Electron Microscopy equipped with Energy Dispersive X-ray (SEM-EDX) techniques. It is indicated that the adsorption-desorption of propyrisulfuron in six soils reached equilibrium at 36 hours under the optimum water-to-soil ratio (WSr) of 5:1.

Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), a predominant subtype of renal cell carcinoma, significantly contributes to the heightened morbidity and mortality in individuals diagnosed with urologic tumors. The challenges posed by high malignancy at the initial diagnosis of ccRCC, therapeutic resistance, and unfavorable patient prognosis remain largely unresolved. Our findings indicate that SEPT5 is upregulated in ccRCC and this upregulation is associated with an adverse prognosis for ccRCC patients.
