A comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GC×GC-TOF-MS) method was developed to analyze 25 traditional phthalate esters (PAEs) and 19 novel alternatives in indoor dust samples. PAEs are ubiquitous in indoor environments because they are widely used as plasticizers in a variety of consumer products, and potential health concerns have prompted the need for effective monitoring methods. In this study, dust samples were collected from various indoor settings in a university campus, including classrooms, cafeterias, laboratories, and dormitories, and were subsequently ultrasonically extracted with hexane-dichloromethane (1∶1, v/v) solution for 30 min.

The traditional genomic relationship matrix (GRM) has shown to be a biased estimation of true kinship, which can affect subsequent genetic analyses. In this study, we employed an unbiased kinship (UKin) estimation method within the genomic best linear unbiased prediction framework to evaluate its prediction performance on both a simulated dataset and a Large White pig dataset. The melanocortin-3 receptor (MC3R) was recognized for its critical role in energy metabolism and inflammatory responses in mammals; however, its functions in fish remain poorly understood. This study characterized the mc3r gene in goldfish, investigating its sequence, tissue distribution, and pharmacological responses. The coding sequence of goldfish mc3r was 975 bp, translating to a 325-amino-acid protein typical of G protein-coupled receptors, with notable conservation across cyprinids.

To evaluate the effects of tillage measure on soil organic carbon (SOC) and influence degree of various factors on relative change rate of SOC at regional scale, we conducted a meta-analysis to investigate the impacts of tillage measures (CK, traditional deep tillage without straw return; NTS, no tillage with straw return; NT, no tillage without straw return; TS, traditional tillage with straw return; SS, subsoiling tillage) on SOC content and influence factors (climate conditions, soil types, cultivation types, and initial soil physicochemical properties) on relative change rate of SOC in dryland wheat fields on the Loess Plateau, based on literatures published during 2000-2023. Results indicated that NT, NTS, SS and TS performed varies positive effect on SOC content in 0-20 cm soil layer compared with CK. In addition, greater enhancement of SOC were obtained in conditions of loessal soil, mid-temperate zone, average annual temperature of ≤10 ℃ and average annual rainfall of ≤500 mm.

Background: Mixed adenoneuroendocrine carcinoma (MANEC) of the cervix is a rare malignant tumor with high malignancy and poor prognosis, of which large-cell neuroendocrine carcinoma and HPV-independent adenocarcinoma are particularly rare, which have been reported limitedly in the literature. Here, we present 2 cases of MANEC of the cervix and discuss important considerations for diagnosing cervical poorly differentiated carcinoma.
Case Presentation: we reported two cases of mixed large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma and adenocarcinoma of the cervix, one HPV-independent and one HPV-associated, both with vaginal bleeding.

This study examines KLF4's role in endothelial cells (ECs), emphasizing its effects on nitric oxide (NO) production, microvascular formation, and oxidative stress regulation following ischemic stroke. Through high-throughput sequencing, we identified eight cell subpopulations in carotid artery tissues post-stroke, with KLF4 notably elevated in ECs. KLF4 overexpression in ECs promoted NO synthesis, enhanced endothelial tube formation, mitigated oxidative stress, and improved smooth muscle cells (SMCs) function, collectively boosting blood flow in ischemic regions.

Nine undescibed abietane diterpenoid alkaloids (DAs), salviamines G‒H (1-2), isosalviamines G‒J (3-6), and miltiorramines A‒C (7-9) were isolated from the roots of Salvia miltiorrhiza. Their chemical structures including absolute configurations were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis (including 1D and 2D NMR, and HRESIMS), combined with the calculated ECD method and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Among them, compounds 1-6 are unusual 20-nor- or 19,20-bisnor-abietane DAs with an oxazole ring.

Background: Urethral plate (UP) reserved Onlay urethroplasty is currently used widely in mid-distal hypospadias. However, for children with 15-30° residual curvature after degloving, only dorsal tunica albuginea plication is performed to correct penile ventral curvature (VC), and long-term follow-up showed a high recurrence rate of penile curvature.
