Phase I Clinical Trial of Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation-Supported Dose-Intensified Chemotherapy With Adebrelimab as First-Line Treatment for Extensive-Stage Small Cell Lung Cancer.

Clin Lung Cancer

December 2024

State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Disease, National Clinical Research Center for Respiratory Disease, National Center for Respiratory Medicine, Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Guangzhou Institute of Respiratory Health, The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, Guangzhou, China. Electronic address:

Background: Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) is initially highly sensitive to chemotherapy, which often leads to significant tumor reduction. However, the majority of patients eventually develop resistance, and the disease is further complicated by its "cold" tumor microenvironment, characterized by low tumor immunogenicity and limited CD8+ T cell infiltration. These factors contribute to the poor response to immunotherapy in many cases of extensive-stage SCLC (ES-SCLC).

Cavity as radio telescope for galactic dark photon.

Sci Bull (Beijing)

School of Physics and State Key Laboratory of Nuclear Physics and Technology, Peking University, Beijing 100871, China; Center for High Energy Physics, Peking University, Beijing 100871, China; Key Laboratory of Particle Acceleration Physics and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100049, China. Electronic address:

Dark photons, as a minimal extension of the Standard Model through an additional Abelian gauge group, may propagate relativistically across the galaxy, originating from dark matter decay or annihilation, thereby contributing to a galactic dark photon background. The generation of dark photons typically favors certain polarization modes, which are dependent on the interactions between dark matter and dark photons. We introduce a framework in which a resonant cavity is utilized to detect and differentiate these polarizations, leveraging the daily variation in expected signals due to the anisotropic distribution of dark photons and the rotation of the Earth.

Clinic of Zhujiang New Town,Hospital of Stomatology, Guanghua School of Stomatology, Sun Yat-sen University & Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Stomatology, Guangzhou 510623, China.

Insufficient keratinized mucosa is a common clinical problem. Although there is no consistent data on the long-term success of implant restorations relative to the presence or absence of peri-implant keratinized mucosa, it is widely accepted that the presence of keratinized mucosa width<2 mm is associated with increased biofilm accumulation, soft-tissue inflammation, and mucosal recession. Free gingival graft (FGG) is the standard surgical intervention for augmenting the width of keratinized gingiva.

Pemphigus vulgaris (PV) is a group of autoimmune bullous diseases characterized by life-threatening intradermal blisters. Hashimoto thyroiditis (HT) is a kind of autoimmune disease with abnormal increase of thyroid peroxidase autoantibody (TPOAb), which is the thyroid specific antibody, leading to hypothyroidism. In recent years, the probability of HT in patients with PV is increasing, and the co-disease may be related to the effect of TPOAb autoantibody on oral keratinocytes.

To investigate the effect of the sizes of osteon-like concentric microgroove structures on the osteoclastic differentiation of macrophages on titanium surfaces, and to provide reference for the surface modification of implants. The silicon wafers sputtered with titanium were selected as the control group (smooth surface specimens) and four concentric groups (concentric circles with the maximum diameter of 200 μ m, the minimum diameter of 20 μ m, the spacing of concentric circles of 10 or 30 μm, the width of microgrooves of 10 or 30 μm, and the depth of microgrooves of 5 or 10 μm) specimens (the total sample size in each group was 27). The width of microgrooves of C10-5 and C10-10 groups was 10 μm, the depth was 5 and 10 μm, and the width of microgrooves of C30-5 and C30-10 groups was 30 μ m, the depth was 5 and 10 μ m, respectively.

[Geostatics in impacted mandibular third molar surgury].

Zhonghua Kou Qiang Yi Xue Za Zhi

January 2025

Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Shanxi Medical University School and Hospital of Stomatology, Taiyuan 030001, China.

Exploring the application of minimally invasive techniques in the extraction of impacted mandibular third molar (IMTM), to achieve the treatment goal of "less trauma, short time, fast recovery", remains the focus of dentists. For now, the IMTM are mostly extracted in pieces after removing the crown and root resistance by bone removal and tooth segmentation, using 45°reverse-angle high speed turbine, piezosurgery, chisel or other dynamic system. However, There is a lack of principle-level parsing in different provinces and primary hospitals, while experience is still the main factor in avoiding excessive bone removal in complex IMTM extraction, as well as optimizing the specific position and angle of the parting teeth, finding the fulcrum and designing the best dislocation path when there is root resistance.

Pulsatile ion transport facilitates the adjusted transfer of substances, meeting the requirements for the gradient and timed separation of multiple components in membrane processes. Responsive nanofiltration membranes are thus currently receiving widespread attention but face limitations due to their narrow performance adjustment range. Herein, hydroxyl functional groups were introduced into electrically responsive nanofiltration membranes to broaden the adjustment range of separation performance through a combination of pore size sieving and functional group interactions, resulting in a greater change in rejection and flux compared to the original membrane.
