Notably, certain non-copper-based electrocatalysts have shown remarkable selectivity for C2+ products at low overpotentials, even enabling the production of multi-carbon molecules that are undetectable on copper-based electrodes. Lactic acid bacteria are widely recognized for their probiotic properties, and their adhesion to the gastrointestinal tract is a prerequisite for their probiotic functions. This investigation aimed to screen a highly adherent strain and explore the impact of its surface lipoteichoic acid (LTA) on strain adhesion to intestinal epithelial cells and the immunomodulatory activity. Results demonstrated that ZJ316 exhibited remarkable surface properties and superior adhesion to enterocytes, and the fluorescent labeling revealed that ZJ316 predominantly adhered to the cecum in mice.

Phthalates (PAEs), which are pollutants that most easily migrate from plastic packages to edible oils, have received increasing attention. In this work, a sample preconditioning method was proposed and explored, involving a single-step extraction using a methanol and ethyl hexanoate mixed solvent, followed by clean-up with a mixed absorbent of graphitic carbon nitride (g-CN) and -propyl ethylenediamine (PSA), for the determination of 18 PAEs in oil samples through GC-MS/MS analysis. The triazine ring structure and conjugated aromatic heterocyclic accumulation structure of g-CN and the amino-rich structure of PSA can provide hydrogen bonds, conjugated π-π interactions, and hydrophobic effects for the removal of interferences such as organic acids, aliphatic acids, and pigments.

Quantum chemical methods and time-resolved laser spectroscopy are employed to elucidate ultrafast charge-separation processes in triphenylamine (TPA) derivatives upon photoexcitation. The G-quadruplex (G4) is an important diagnostic and therapeutic target in cancers, but the development of theranostic probes for subcellular G4s remains challenging. In this work, we report three G4-targeted theranostic probes by conjugating a pyridostatin-derived G4 ligand to G4-specific iridium(III) complexes with desirable photophysical properties. Carbon-based microwave absorption materials have garnered widespread attention as lightweight and efficient wave absorbers, emerging as a prominent focus in the field of functional materials research. In this work, FeNi nanoparticles, synthesized in situ within graphite interlayers, were employed as catalysts to grow carbon nanofibers in situ via intercalation chemical vapor deposition (CVD). We demonstrate a thermally controlled ultra-wideband wide incident angle metamaterial absorber with switchable transmission at the THz band in this paper. The underlying hybrid structure of FSS-VO thin films make them switchable between absorption mode and transmission mode by controlling the temperature. It can achieve ultra-wideband absorption with above 90% absorption from 1 THz to 10 THz and exhibits excellent absorption performance under a wide range of incident and polarization angles at a high temperature (80 °C).
