Abnormal ferrous ion (Fe) levels lead to an increase in reactive oxygen species (ROS) in cells, disrupting intracellular viscosity and the occurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Simultaneously visualizing Fe and intracellular viscosity is essential for understanding the detailed pathophysiological processes of HCC. Herein, we report the first dual-responsive probe, , capable of simultaneously monitoring Fe and viscosity.

ConspectusFor chemical reactions with complex pathways, it is extremely difficult to adjust the catalytic performance. The previous strategies on this issue mainly focused on modifying the fine structures of the catalysts, including optimization of the geometric/electronic structure of the metal nanoparticles (NPs), regulation of the chemical composition/morphology of the supports, and/or adjustment of the metal-support interactions to modulate the reaction kinetics on the catalyst surface. Although significant advances have been achieved, the catalytic performance is still unsatisfactory.

To facilitate on-site detection by nonspecialists, there is a demand for the development of portable "sample-to-answer" devices capable of executing all procedures in an automated or easy-to-operate manner. Here, we developed an automated detection device that integrated a magnetofluidic manipulation system and a signal acquisition system. Both systems were controllable via a smartphone.

We herein report a Rh(III)-catalyzed C-H bond coupling of -chloroimines with maleimides, in which the [4 + 2] annulation and dehydrogenative annulation processes can be selectively achieved by simply adjusting the reaction conditions. This protocol is compatible with various functional groups, shows exquisite selectivity, and presents a concise synthetic procedure to respective products in moderate to good yields. With all these merits, this strategy may be applicable in the construction of related azaheterocyclic skeletons.

Background: The triglyceride glucose-body mass index (TyG-BMI) is considered to be a reliable surrogate marker of insulin resistance (IR). However, limited evidence exists regarding its association with the severity of coronary artery disease (CAD), particularly in hypertensive patients with different glucose metabolic states, including those with H-type hypertension. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between TyG-BMI and CAD severity across different glucose metabolism conditions.

Background: Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) is a climate-sensitive zoonotic disease that poses a significant public health burden worldwide. While previous studies have established associations between meteorological factors and HFRS incidence, there remains a critical knowledge gap regarding the heterogeneity of these effects across diverse epidemic regions. Addressing this gap is essential for developing region-specific prevention and control strategies.

Thioredoxin1 (TRX1) and telomerase are both attractive oncology targets that are tightly implicated in tumor initiation and development. Here, we reported that the 6-dithio-2-deoxyguanosine analog thiotert exhibits an effective cytotoxic effect on myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) cell SKM-1 and lymphoma cell U-937. Further studies confirmed that thiotert effectively disrupts cellular redox homeostasis, as evidenced by elevated intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels, increased MnSOD, accelerated DNA impairment, and activated apoptosis signal.

Oxidative stress and neuronal apoptosis could be an important factor leading to post-hemorrhagic consequences after germinal matrix hemorrhage (GMH). Previously study have indicated that relaxin 2 receptor activation initiates anti-oxidative stress and anti-apoptosis in ischemia-reperfusion injury. However, whether relaxin 2 activation can attenuate oxidative stress and neuronal apoptosis after GMH remains unknown.

With increasing concern about the environmental pollution of petrochemical plastics, people are constantly exploring environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative materials. Compared with petrochemical materials, cellulose has overwhelming superiority in terms of mechanical properties, thermal properties, cost, and biodegradability. However, the flammability of cellulose hinders its practical application to a certain extent, so improving the fire-retardant properties of cellulose nanofiber-based materials has become a research focus.
