Currently, the study of cuproptosis focuses on the Cu-induced morphology changes in mitochondria (Mito), and the observation of the effect of endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-related Cu content on cuproptosis is relatively lacking. Herein, we have developed a hydroxyflavone (HF)-based NIR excited two-photon fluorescent probe, BHCO, that exhibits specific recognition of Cu with high resolution. BHCO-Cu (Cu2BC) can lead to DLAT protein aggregation, triggering cuproptosis.

The abnormal alternation of pulmonary angiogenesis is related to lung microvascular dysfunction and is deeply linked to vascular wall integrity, blood flow regulation, and gas exchange. In murine models, lung lobes exhibit significant differences in size, shape, location, and vascularization, yet existing methods lack consideration for these variations when quantifying microvascular density. This limitation hinders the comprehensive study of lung microvascular dysfunction and the potential remodeling of microvasculature circulation across different lobules.

Kaposiform hemangioendothelioma (KHE) is a rare vascular tumor that typically presents in infancy or early childhood. As awareness of KHE increases, it is imperative that the management of KHE be updated to reflect the latest evidence-based guidelines. The aim of this study was to integrate the literature and Chinese expert opinions to provide updated recommendations that will guide the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of patients with KHE.

This review thoroughly summarized the interactions between NPs/MPs and gut microbiota in various hosts, speculated on the potential factors affecting these interactions, and outlined the impacts on hosts' health caused by NPs/MPs exposure and gut microbiota dysbiosis.

Causal Relationship Between Intestinal Microbiota, Inflammatory Cytokines, Peripheral Immune Cells, Plasma Metabolome and Parkinson's Disease: A Mediation Mendelian Randomization Study.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disease involving multiple factors. We explored the connection between intestinal microbiome levels and PD by examining inflammatory cytokines, peripheral immune cell counts and plasma metabolomics as potential factors. By obtaining the Genome-Wide Association Study (GWAS) data needed for this study from GWAS Catalog, including summary data for 473 intestinal microbiota traits (N = 5959), 91 inflammatory cytokine traits (N = 14,824), 118 peripheral immune cell count traits (N = 3757), 1400 plasma metabolite traits (N = 8299) and PD traits (N = 482,730).

Endoscopic ultrasound in the diagnosis of Ménétrier's disease: unique contribution.

Ménétrier's disease is a rare gastritis. Although there were some pathological features under gastroscopy, the depth of mucosal infiltration observed was not enough, and it was difficult to distinguish from other gastric mucosal lesions. A biopsy guided by gastroscopy is not deep enough and may lead to misdiagnosis due to incomplete sampling of the entire gastric mucosa.

A rare case of colonic ulcer.

A 72-year-old woman presented to our outpatient department due to diarrhea that began 10 days ago without a known trigger. The patient presented with frequent (four to five times a day), loose yellow stool, containing significant mucus. She reported no obvious symptoms such as abdominal distension, pain, chills or fever, and her medical history included diabetes and hypertension.

Combined diagnosis of signet ring cell carcinoma of hilar cholangiocarcinoma by three endoscopes.

Signet-ring cell carcinoma is a poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma with a high degree of malignancy, which rarely occurs in hilar bile duct. As far as I know, this is the third signet-ring cell carcinoma of hilar cholangiocarcinoma found so far. We used endoscopic ultrasound（EUS） and per-oral cholangioscopy（POCPS） to make a definite diagnosis.

Materials And Methods: The present study included 15 718 participants from the Comprehensive Research on the Prevention and Control of Diabetes between 2013 and 2014 in Jiangsu, China. Information on tea consumption (including frequency, amount, and duration) was collected at baseline using interviewer-administered questionnaires.

Herein, we present a straightforward synthetic strategy that involves the reaction of glycine amides with 1,3-diketones to form imidazolones through an unusual molecular fragmentation and recombination pathway. Mechanistic investigations, including crossover experiments, inspired a competing strategy that incorporates exogenous ketones into the products, yielding fluorescent GFP chromophore analogues.

RHOBTB2 Variant p.Arg511Gln Causes Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathy Type 64 in an Infant: A Case Report and Hotspot Variant Analysis.

Background: Developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (DEEs) are a heterogeneous group of brain disorders. Variants in the Rho-related BTB domain-containing 2 gene (RHOBTB2) can lead to DEE64, which is characterized by early-onset epilepsy, varying degrees of motor developmental delay and intellectual disability, microcephaly, and movement disorders. More than half of the variants are located at Arg483 and Arg511 within the BTB domain; however, the underlying mechanism of action of these hotspot variants remains unexplored.
