Activating the cGAS-STING pathway presents a promising strategy to enhance the innate immunity and combat the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. One key mechanism for triggering this pathway involves the release of damaged DNA fragments caused by nuclear DNA damage. However, conventional cGAS-STING agonists often suffer from limited nucleus-targeting efficiency and potential biotoxicity.

In this study, a novel In₂S₃/MXene composite was developed as a co-reactant accelerator to enhance the chemiluminescence (CL) performance of the classical luminol-H₂O₂ system. The In₂S₃ and MXene heterojunction catalyzed the CL reaction through synergistic effect, facilitating the generation of reactive oxygen species and increasing CL intensities. This enhanced system was applied for the first time to detect an ultraviolet (UV) filter-benzophenone-3 (BP-3) by leveraging its light absorption property.

Organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) integrated with commercial transistors are promising sensing platforms characterized by enhanced device uniformity, functional diversity, and electrical output stability. Aptamers with charged backbones and a high affinity for target molecules are anticipated to mitigate the limitations imposed by Debye screening in physiological environments with high ionic strength, thereby facilitating specific biological recognition in complex surroundings. This study presents two reliable OFET aptasensors for vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and offers a systematic comparison of their performance.

Cysteamine (CA) serves as a cystine-depleting agent employed in the management of cystinosis and a range of other medical conditions. Monitoring blood CA levels at the point of care is imperative due to the risk of toxicity associated with elevated CA dosages. An additional significant challenge is presented by the intricate composition of human plasma and the presence of various interfering biological thiols, which possess similar structures or properties.

Flavonoids are bioactive components in natural products, which possess anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antioxidant, and cardiovascular protective properties. However, due to the complexity and low content of the components in these samples, developing rapid and sensitive methods for the isolation and extraction of flavonoids still remains a challenge in medical and food science. Herein, a 4-formylphenylboronic acid functionalized magnetic FeO nanomaterial (FeO@FPBA) was synthesized and applied as a sorbent of magnetic solid-phase extraction (MSPE) to covalently extract flavonoids from leaves of Lonicera japonica Thunb.
