Protein lactylation, an emerging post-translational modification, is providing new insights into tumor biology and challenging our current understanding of cancer mechanisms. Our review illuminates the intricate roles of lactylation in carcinogenesis, tumor progression, and therapeutic responses, positioning it as a critical linchpin connecting metabolic reprogramming, epigenetic modulation, and treatment outcomes. We provide an in-depth analysis of lactylation's molecular mechanisms and its far-reaching impact on cell cycle regulation, immune evasion strategies, and therapeutic resistance within the complex tumor microenvironment.

Nuclear factor Y (NF-Y) is an evolutionarily conserved heterotrimeric transcription factor in eukaryotes. In a previous study, OsNF-YB12 was confirmed to be associated with drought tolerance using the Ecotilling method. In this study, real-time quantitative RT-PCR revealed that OsNF-YB12 was induced by various abiotic stresses and phytohormones, with expression levels differing between leaves and roots.

Cellular senescence, a hallmark of aging, has emerged as a captivating area of research in tumor immunology with profound implications for cancer prevention and treatment. In the tumor microenvironment, senescent cells exhibit a dual role, simultaneously hindering tumor development through collaboration with immune cells and evading immune cell attacks by upregulating immunoinhibitory proteins. However, the intricate immune escape mechanism of cellular senescence in the tumor microenvironment remains a subject of intense investigation.

Nucleoside analogs (NAs), as antiviral drugs, play a significant role in clinical medicine, constituting approximately 50 % of all antiviral therapies in current use. Nucleoside inhibitors function by mimicking the structure of natural nucleosides, integrating themselves into viral genetic material during replication, and subsequently inhibiting the virus's ability to reproduce. They are used to treat a variety of viral infections, including herpes simplex, hepatitis B, and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).

Pulsed-field ablation (PFA) offers notable advantages in atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation by selectively targeting cardiomyocytes via an irreversible electroporation mechanism, thereby minimizing damage to surrounding tissues. Although clinical studies demonstrate that PFA is both safe and effective, PFA-mediated hemolysis and potential acute kidney injury (AKI) development have been recently reported. This study comprehensively reviews the literature on PFA-associated hemolysis, analyzing the underlying mechanisms, risk factors, and preventive management strategies.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a highly heterogeneous and aggressive blood cancer. Genetic abnormalities, such as the t(8;21) rearrangement, play a significant role in AML onset. This rearrangement leads to the formation of the RUNX1/RUNX1T1 fusion protein, disrupting gene regulation and genomic stability, ultimately causing full-blown leukemia.

Background: Hypertension is a leading cause of cardiovascular disease and premature death worldwide, and it puts a heavy burden on the healthcare system. Therefore, it is very important to detect and evaluate hypertension and related cardiovascular events to enable early prevention, detection, and management. Hypertension can be detected in a timely manner with cardiac signals, such as through an electrocardiogram (ECG) and photoplethysmogram (PPG) , which can be observed via wearable sensors.

A flexible cotton-based Ag/AgPO/MXene (APMX) ternary composite material was successfully synthesized, serving as a dual-function and reusable surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrate for both sensitive detection and efficient organic dye degradation. The remarkable SERS properties of the composite can be attributed to the combined effects of electromagnetic enhancement by Ag nanoparticles (Ag NPs), charge transfer enhancement from AgPO, and the chemical enhancement mechanisms associated with MXene. When employed for the detection of crystal violet (CV), the material exhibits outstanding sensitivity, achieving a limit of detection (LOD) as low as 3.

It is imperative to investigate more cost-effective, long-lasting, efficient, and reliable non-noble metal electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in hydrogen production via water splitting. Metal-organic complexes have been extensively researched and utilized for this purpose, yet their transformation in this process remains intriguing and underexplored. To enable a comprehensive comparison, we synthesized three types of metal-organic complexes with varying morphologies using the same raw material.

Luminescent solar concentrators (LSCs) are large scale sunlight collector and can be used for building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). Achieving high-performance LSCs requires fluorophores with broad absorption, high quantum yield and a large Stokes shift. Nevertheless, conventional high-efficiency LSCs typically rely on heavy metal-based quantum dots as fluorophores.
