Objective: To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) in Sichuan Province from 2013 to 2019. To study the correlation between meteorological factors and the incidence of HFMD and construct a prediction model.
Methods: The HMFD surveillance data and meteorological data from 2013 to 2019 in Sichuan Province were collected through the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the China Meteorological data Network.
Objective: To carry out a nationwide epidemiologic survey on the neonates in urban hospitals with an attempt to understand the disease spectrum and treatment outcomes of hospitalized neonates in China.
Methods: The clinical data of 43,289 hospitalized neonates from 86 hospitals in 47 Chinese cities (22 provinces) between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2005 were retrospectively analyzed.

Objective: To investigate the common causes of recurrent wheezing in young children.
Methods: Electronic bronchoscopy was performed on 67 children with recurrent wheezing or who did not respond to the conventional treatment.
Results: The electronic bronchoscopy showed intimitis in trachea and bronchi in 19 cases, intimitis and inflammatory stricture in 11 cases, foreign bodies in the bronchi in 11 cases, trachea and bronchus softening in 19 cases, and bronchopulmonary dysplasia in 3 cases.

Methods: A total of 2888 pathogenic bacterial strains isolated from children in Chengdu Children's Hospital from 2001 to 2006 were analyzed. Tests were performed according to the guidelines of National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (NCCLS) of the United States.

Objective: To investigate the distribution and the changes of drug resistance of common pathogenic bacteria in children with lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI) of Chengdu.
Methods: Sputum specimens for bacterial cultures were collected from children with LRTL who had been admitted to the Chengdu Children's Hospital between 2001 and 2006. Antibiotic susceptibility tests were performed after bacteria had been identified.

Objective: Impulse oscillometry (IOS) is a new method for determination of breathing mechanics, which features convenient operation, good repeatability and wider range analysis. As there is no standardized normal value in China at present, this study will provide a normal value of lung function determination by impulse oscillometry for children in Chengdu area.
Method: Totally 549 children were chosen at random from Chengdu area, with 292 boys and 257 girls who were 4 to 14 years old.

Objective: To evaluate the roles of P-D-xylosyltransferase I (XT-I) and beta-D-endoglycosidase heparanase (Hpa) in renal tissue with the development of adriamycin (ADR) nephropathy and relevance for proteinuria.
Methods: 150-200 g Sprague-Dawley rats (n=10 per group) were used to make the nephropathy model induced by tail intravenous injection of 6 mg/kg ADR. Rats were housed in metabolic cage for 24 hours so as to collect the urine prior to disease induced and at day 7, 14 and 21 following disease induction.

Objectives: To investigate the incidence and epidemiological characteristics of Kawasaki Disease (KD) in Sichuan province of China.
Methods: The questionnaire and diagnostic guideline for KD provided by Japan Kawasaki Disease Research Center (JKDRC) were used for the questionnaire investigation in pediatric departments of all hospitals in Sichuan province for data of KD diagnosed in their hospitals from 1 January 1997 to 31 December 2001.
