In the present report, a case of a healthy, 38-year-old male recreational marathon runner who presented in the emergency department is discussed. He was diagnosed with a stress fracture of the femoral neck and treated surgically using a dynamic hip screw (DHS). One year after surgery, the patient was able to return to most of his previous sports activities.

This neuroimaging study aimed to investigate structural correlates associated with cessation or reduction of PSU and determine the extent to which brain structural features accounted for this resilient outcome. Participants from a European community-based cohort self-reported their alcohol, tobacco and cannabis use frequency at ages 14, 16 and 19 and had neuroimaging sessions at ages 14 and 19.

Objective: Myomas are one of the most common tumors of the lower abdomen in women. At present, sonography and clinical examination are the prevalent diagnostic standards for these tumors, and no biomarkers have been established yet. The primary aim of this study was to determine if the surgical removal of myomas leads to a drop of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), CA 125, and/or insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) and therefore if these parameters are suitable as potential biomarkers for the presence or recurrence of a myoma.

The Addressing Lupus Pillars for Health Advancement (ALPHA) Project is a global consensus effort to identify, prioritise and address top barriers in lupus impacting diagnosis, care, treatment and research. To conduct this process, the ALPHA Project convened a multistakeholder Global Advisory Committee (GAC) of lupus experts and collected input from global audiences, including patients.
