Perchlorate and chlorate are recognized as ubiquitously inorganic pollutants inenvrionment owing to their high solubility in water and resistance to degradation. Previous studies have confirmed the potential adverse effects of perchlorate and chlorate on human thyroid function, along with implications for fetal growth and development. The fetus grows and develops pregnant women's womb and absorbs nutrients from her body.

Human respiratory syncytial virus (HRSV) is the most prevalent pathogen contributing to acute respiratory tract infections (ARTI) in infants and young children and can lead to significant financial and medical costs. Here, we developed a simultaneous, dual-gene and ultrasensitive detection system for typing HRSV within 60 minutes that needs only minimum laboratory support. Briefly, multiplex integrating reverse transcription-recombinase polymerase amplification (RT-RPA) was performed with viral RNA extracted from nasopharyngeal swabs as a template for the amplification of the specific regions of subtypes A (HRSV) and B (HRSV) of HRSV.

Cancer's high incidence and death rate jeopardize human health and life, and it has become a global public health issue. Some members of NPCs have been studied in a few cancers, but comprehensive and prognostic analysis is lacking in most cancers. In this study, we used the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) data genomics and transcriptome technology to examine the differential expression and prognosis of NPCs in 33 cancer samples, as well as to investigate NPCs mutations and their effect on patient prognosis and to evaluate the methylation level of NPCs in cancer.

Liver cancer is a cunning malignancy with a high incidence and mortality rate among cancers worldwide. The NPC gene family members (NPCs: NPC1, NPC2, and NPC1L1) are closely linked to the development of multiple cancers, but their role in liver cancer remains unclear. As a result, we must investigate their functions in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC).

Microscopic examination of thick and thin blood smears stained with Giemsa dye is considered the primary diagnostic tool for the confirmation and management of suspected clinical malaria. However, detecting gametocytes is relatively insensitive, particularly in asymptomatic individuals with low-density infections. To complement existing diagnostic methods, a rapid and ultrasensitive point-of-care testing (POCT) platform for malaria detection is urgently needed and necessary.

Background: Plenty of studies have indicated that some genetic polymorphisms of the breast cancer which associated with its susceptibility may also be related to the susceptibility of abortion. MIR2052HG plays an important role in the onset and progression of breast cancer by maintaining the level of ERα, but to the best of our knowledge, the correlation between risk of recurrent abortion and MIR2052HG rs3802201 C>G polymorphism is still unclear. Therefore, we conducted this case-control study to investigate whether MIR2052HG rs3802201 C>G polymorphism is associated with susceptibility of recurrent miscarriage (RM).
