Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) small nucleolar RNA host gene 12 (SNHG12) has been reported to participate in the regulation of various nervous system disorders. Bupivacaine (BV), a commonly used local anesthetic, could generate neurotoxicity in neurons. This work intended to investigate the role and specific mechanism of SNHG12 in BV-induced neurotoxicity.

A Gratifying Step forward for the Application of Artificial Intelligence in the Field of Endoscopy: A Narrative Review.

Background: Endoscopy is the optimal choice of diagnosis of gastrointestinal (GI) diseases. Following the advancements made in medical technology, different kinds of novel endoscopy-methods have emerged. Although the significant progress in the penetration of endoscopic tools that have markedly improved the diagnostic rate of GI diseases, there are still some limitations, including instability of human diagnostic performance caused by intensive labor burden and high missed diagnosis rate of subtle lesions.

Background: Recently, a novel surgical procedure, named as laparoscopic proximal gastrectomy (LPG) with double-tract reconstruction (DTR), has been reported to provide surgical benefits in the treatment of proximal early gastric cancer (EGC) over traditional laparoscopic total gastrectomy (LTG). These benefits include a lower incidence of some surgical complications and better postoperative nutritional status. However, the number of relevant studies is still too low to validate such benefits.
