With the development and progress of society, people's average life expectancy has increased, and relevant literature reports that the number of postmenopausal women in China continues to increase. With lifespans extended, the transition period and post-menopause period have become the longest essential period in every woman's life. The life quality of women troubled by perimenopausal syndrome has been significantly reduced, which also places a burden on families and society.

Introduction: The molecular biology detection technology of the human blood group system makes up for the limitations in many aspects compared with conventional serological typing technology. This study aimed to establish a new method to identify seven common alleles (*, *, *, *, *, *, and *) by two-dimensional polymerase chain reaction (2D PCR). 2D PCR can identify multiple target genes in a closed test tube by labeling specific primers with tags homologous to the sequence of fluorescently labeled probes, and melting curve analysis is performed after the fluorescent probes are hybridized with tag complementary sequences in PCR-specific products.

The voltage-dependent anion channel 1 (VDAC1) forms an oligomeric structure on the mitochondrial outer membrane, which plays critical roles in many physiological processes. Research studies have demonstrated that the knockout of VDAC1 increases pigment content and up-regulates the expression of melanogenic genes. Due to its involvement in various physiological processes, the depletion of VDAC1 has significant detrimental effects on cellular functions and the inhibition of VDAC1 oligomerization has recently emerged as a promising strategy for the treatment of several diseases.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a highly heterogeneous malignancy and lacks effective treatment. Bulk-sequencing of different gene transcripts by comparing HCC tissues and adjacent normal tissues provides some clues for investigating the mechanisms or identifying potential targets for tumor progression. However, genes that are exclusively expressed in a subpopulation of HCC may not be enriched or detected through such a screening.

Deep learning has shown promise in generating synthetic CT (sCT) from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). However, the misalignment between MRIs and CTs has not been adequately addressed, leading to reduced prediction accuracy and potential harm to patients due to the generative adversarial network (GAN)hallucination phenomenon. This work proposes a novel approach to mitigate misalignment and improve sCT generation.

For patients diagnosed with advanced gastric or gastroesophageal cancer that is not amenable to surgical intervention, the standard of care for first-line treatment consists of fluoropyrimidine and platinum-based chemotherapy. The incorporation of novel agents into these standard first-line regimens could potentially improve patient prognosis; options for such augmentations include both immune-based and targeted therapy combinations. To provide a comparative analysis of these different first-line combination treatments, a network meta-analysis was conducted.

Background And Objective: The diagnosis of end-stage renal disease associated with mild cognitive impairment (ESRDaMCI) mainly relies on objective cognitive assessment, clinical observation, and neuro-psychological evaluation, while only adopting clinical tools often limits the diagnosis accuracy.
Methods: We proposed a multi-modal feature selection framework with higher-order correlated topological manifold (HCTMFS) to classify ESRDaMCI patients and identify the discriminative brain regions. It constructed brain structural and functional networks with diffuse kurtosis imaging (DKI) and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data, and extracted node efficiency and clustering coefficient from the brain networks to construct multi-modal feature matrices.
