The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of combining Pulse indicate Contour Cardiac Output (PiCCO) monitoring and troponin I detection in managing septic myocardial dysfunction in elderly patients.
A total of 119 elderly patients were enrolled, dividing them into a joint group (JG) receiving advanced monitoring and a control group (CG) receiving traditional care, with various clinical indicators tracked over time.
Results showed that the JG had better outcomes, including improved hemodynamics, lower levels of myocardial injury markers, reduced inflammatory factors, and lower 28-day mortality compared to the CG.
