Chordoma is a relatively rare and locally aggressive malignant tumor. Sirtuin (SIRT)5 plays pivotal roles in various tumors, but the role of SIRT5 in chordoma has not been found. This study was performed to investigate the regulatory effects of SIRT5 on cell proliferation, migration, and invasion and the underlying mechanism in chordoma.

Effects of electroacupuncture combined with acupoint catgut embedding on gastrointestinal motility and gastrointestinal hormones in rats with functional dyspepsia.

Electroacupuncture (EA) or acupoint catgut embedding (ACE) plays a therapeutic role in functional dyspepsia (FD). Herein, we aimed to elucidate the influences of EA combined with ACE on gastrointestinal motility and gastrointestinal hormones in rats with FD. Sprague-Dawley rats were randomized into the control group, model group, EA group, ACE group, and EA + ACE group (n = 10).

Background: The link between inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is still unclear.

Background: Coronary artery disease (CAD) seriously disturbs the life of people. LncRNA H19 is reported to promote the progression of CAD; Nevertheless, the detailed mechanism by which H19 modulates CAD development is unclear.

Methods: Clinical samples of CAD patients were collected, meanwhile we established in vitro and in vivo models of CAD by treating HCAECs with ox-LDL and feeding ApoE mice with high fat diets (HFD).

Expression of lncRNA APF in Peripheral Blood of Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction Caused by Coronary Heart Disease and its Clinical Significance.

Coronary heart disease (CHD) is the leading cause of death from cardiovascular disease. This study investigated the expression and clinical significance of long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) autophagy promoting factor (APF) in peripheral blood of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) caused by CHD. Patients with angina pectoris (AP) (n = 80) and AMI (n = 96) and other patients (n = 60) with precordial discomfort but no CHD were included.

[Clinical study on the treatment of juvenile recurrent laryngeal papilloma].

Objective: To study and evaluate the feasibility and effect of the treatment for juvenile recurrent laryngeal papilloma by nasal endoscopy electric suction cutting and laser surgery.

Method: The clinical data of 26 cases with juvenile recurrent laryngeal papilloma from 2002-2007 years were retrospectively analyzed. Six cases were treated by electric suction cutting under nasal endoscopy, 20 cases were treated by electric suction cutting under nasal endoscopy and synergizing laser, and postoperative wound with sodium hyaluronate gel treatment.
