To investigate the effect and mechanism of resveratrol on the biological behavior of cervical cancer cells (HeLa cells), the apoptosis, migration, and invasion of HeLa cells were detected by flow cytometry, wound healing, and transwell assays. The expression levels of Hedgehog signal pathway proteins (smoothened (SMO), zinc finger transcription factors (Gli1), and sonic hedgehog homolog (Shh)) were detected by quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) and western blotting. Compared with that control group, resveratrol (RES) significantly induced apoptosis, inhibited the migration and invasion of the HeLa cells.

Background: The doctor/nurse and police officer population have some common typical characteristics of great professional pressure and night shift and past studies indicated oral mucosa lesions were closely associated with psychological factors and health-risking behaviors, however the prevalence of recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS) and the two commonly seen oral potentially malignant disorders of oral submucosal fibrosis (OSF) and oral leukoplakia in doctor/nurse and police officer in the Betel quid chewing city of Mainland China is unknown The cross-sectional study was to determine the prevalence differences of RAS, oral leukoplakia and OSF among doctor/nurse, police officer and non-doctor/nurse and non-police officer population aged 20-59 years.
Methods: RAS, OSF and oral leukoplakia were examined in doctor/nurse group (male: 659, female: 2439), police officer group (male: 839, female: 262) and non-doctor/nurse and non-police officer group (male: 7576, female: 8129) from 2020-11-01 to 2021-08-31 in Health Management Center, Xiangya Hospital in Changsha city, Hunan province.
Results: The prevalence rates of RAS, OSF, oral leukoplakia and oral leukoplakia combined with OSF in male and female non-doctor/nurse and non-police officer group are 8.

Three siderophores mirubactins B-D (4-6) were identified as the degradation products of previously isolated mirubactin (1). Their structures were revealed by HR-ESI-MS/MS, NMR analyses, and density functional calculations, among which 4 contains an unusual cyclic amidine functionality. Cyclic voltammetry showed that 5 and 6 have reduced iron complexing capacity.

Methods: 45 KM male mice were randomly divided into the control group, the high-fat and high-protein diet group, and the Baohe pill intervention group. The mice in the high-fat and high-protein diet group and the Baohe pill intervention group were fed with the self-made high-fat and high-protein diet as the sole food source of the mice, and the mice in the control group were fed with the normal diet.

Methods: The medical records of 2352 consecutive stage II/III GC patients who underwent radical gastrectomy were retrospectively reviewed. The independent predictors for infections were identified using univariate and multivariate analyses.

Objective: To investigate the effect of renal sympathetic denervation (RDN) on blood pressure and arterial stiffness in hypertensive beagles and explore the underlying mechanism.
Methods: Sixteen beagles were randomly divided into RDN group (=8, fed with a high-salt high-fat diet to establish models of hypertension and treated with RDN), sham-operated group (=4, fed with a high-salt high-fat diet to induce hypertension but only examined with renal arteriography) and control group (=4, fed with formula dog food). The changes in blood pressure, arterial stiffness, endothelial function, and sympathetic activity were compared among the 3 groups and correlation analysis was performed.
