Background: Delayed aneurysm rupture after flow diverters (FDs) is a serious complication which mechanism remains unclear. The hemodynamics of FDs with proximal or distal densification implantation strategies have rarely been reported. In this study, we investigated not only the hemodynamic factors involved in postoperative rupture, but also the hemodynamic effects of different FDs implantation strategies on avoiding this complication.

Background: Prior studies have investigated the clinical and imaging factors for hemorrhagic transformation (HT), especially symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH); however, whether alteplase increases the risk of HT after endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) is unknown. This study aimed to assess clinical and imaging features associated with HT, sICH, and parenchymal hematoma (PH) in patients with acute ischemic stroke after EVT, with and without intravenous alteplase in DIRECT-MT (Direct Intraarterial Thrombectomy to Revascularize Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients with Large Vessel Occlusion Efficiently in Chinese Tertiary Hospitals: a Multicenter Randomized Clinical Trial).
Methods: The DIRECT-MT trial is a randomized trial of EVT alone versus intravenous thrombolysis combined with EVT.

Background: To explore the diagnostic value of three different measurement approaches in differentiating T1a-T1b from T2 gastric cancer (GC) lesions.
Methods: A total of 95 consecutive patients with T1a-T2 stage of GC who performed preoperative MRI were retrospectively enrolled between January 2017 and November 2020. The parameters MRI T stage (subjective evaluation), thickness, maximum area and volume of the lesions were evaluated by two radiologists.

Background: To explore the usefulness of analyzing histograms and textures of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) maps and T2-weighted (T2W) images to differentiate prostatic cancer (PCa) from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) using histopathology as the reference.
Methods: Ninety patients with PCa and 112 patients with BPH were included in this retrospective study. Differences in whole-lesion histograms and texture parameters of ADC maps and T2W images between PCa and BPH patients were evaluated using the independent samples t-test.

The consensus recommendations in 2018 from The Chinese Society of Hematology (CSH) on indications, conditioning regimens and donor selection for allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) facilitated the standardization of clinical practices of allo-HSCT in China and progressive integration with the world. There have been new developments since the initial publication. To integrate recent developments and further improve the consensus, a panel of experts from the CSH recently updated the consensus recommendations, which are summarized as follows: (1) there is a new algorithm for selecting appropriate donors for allo-HSCT candidates.

Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) is a recommended treatment for patients suffering from intermediate and advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). As compared to the conventional TACE, drug-eluting bead TACE demonstrates several advantages in terms of survival, treatment response, and adverse effects. The selection of embolic agents is critical to the success of TACE.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the major type of primary liver cancer and a leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Cinobufotalin (CBF) is extracted from the skin secretion of the giant toad and clinically used for the treatment of liver cancer, but its molecular mechanism of anti-cancer in HCC has not yet been elucidated. Here, we showed CBF effectively promoted cell apoptosis, induced cell cycle G2-M arrest, inhibited cell proliferation and lipogenesis.

Background: Previous reports regarding the predictive power of adiposity indices remain inconsistent, and longitudinal studies on this top are limited. The associations of hyperuricemia risk with changes in obesity status, as well as the joint effects of baseline adiposity indices and body adiposity change on hyperuricemia risk are not fully elucidated. This study aimed to explore the independent and joint associations of baseline adiposity indicators and body adiposity change with hyperuricemia risk among middle-aged and older population in China.

In precision oncology, immune check point blockade therapy has quickly emerged as novel strategy by its efficacy, where programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression is used as a clinically validated predictive biomarker of response for the therapy. Automating pathological image analysis and accelerating pathology evaluation is becoming an unmet need. Artificial Intelligence and deep learning tools in digital pathology have been studied in order to evaluate PD-L1 expression in PD-L1 immunohistochemistry image.

The importance of flow shear stress (SS) on the differentiation of endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) has been demonstrated in various studies. Cholesterol retention and microRNA regulation have been also proposed as relevant factors involved in this process, though evidence regarding their regulatory roles in the differentiation of EPCs is currently lacking. In the present study on high shear stress (HSS)-induced differentiation of EPCs, we investigated the importance of ATP-binding cassette transporter 1 (ABCA1), an important regulator in cholesterol efflux, and miR-25-5p, a potential regulator of endothelial reconstruction.

Background: ASPECTS scoring method varies, but which one is most suitable for predicting the prognosis still unclear. We aimed to evaluate the diagnostic performance of Automated (Auto)-, noncontrast CT (NCCT)- and CT perfusion (CTP) -ASPECTS for early ischemic changes (EICs) in acute ischemic stroke patients with large vessel occlusion (LVO) and to explore which scoring method is most suitable for predicting the clinical outcome.
Methods: Eighty-one patients with anterior circulation LVO were retrospectively enrolled and grouped as having a good (0-2) or poor (3-6) clinical outcome using a 90-day modified Rankin Scale score.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of a deep learning based computer-aided diagnosis (DL-CAD) system on radiologists' interpretation accuracy and efficiency in reading biparametric prostate magnetic resonance imaging scans.
Materials And Methods: We selected 100 consecutive prostate magnetic resonance imaging cases from a publicly available data set (PROSTATEx Challenge) with and without histopathologically confirmed prostate cancer. Seven board-certified radiologists were tasked to read each case twice in 2 reading blocks (with and without the assistance of a DL-CAD), with a separation between the 2 reading sessions of at least 2 weeks.
