Hemodynamic analysis and implantation strategies of delayed intracranial aneurysm rupture after flow diverter treatment.

Background: Delayed aneurysm rupture after flow diverters (FDs) is a serious complication which mechanism remains unclear. The hemodynamics of FDs with proximal or distal densification implantation strategies have rarely been reported. In this study, we investigated not only the hemodynamic factors involved in postoperative rupture, but also the hemodynamic effects of different FDs implantation strategies on avoiding this complication.

Background: Vunakizumab (SHR-1314) is a novel interleukin 17A monoclonal antibody that has shown preliminary efficacy and tolerability in phase I trials.

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of vunakizumab in moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis.

Methods: In this 36-week, multicenter, double-blinded, phase II study (NCT03463187), 187 eligible patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis were randomized 1:1:1:1:1 to receive vunakizumab (40, 80, 160, or 240 mg) or placebo subcutaneously, every 4 weeks, until week 12 (2 more drug administrations for the vunakizumab groups on weeks 16 and 20).

The consensus from The Chinese Society of Hematology on indications, conditioning regimens and donor selection for allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation: 2021 update.

The consensus recommendations in 2018 from The Chinese Society of Hematology (CSH) on indications, conditioning regimens and donor selection for allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) facilitated the standardization of clinical practices of allo-HSCT in China and progressive integration with the world. There have been new developments since the initial publication. To integrate recent developments and further improve the consensus, a panel of experts from the CSH recently updated the consensus recommendations, which are summarized as follows: (1) there is a new algorithm for selecting appropriate donors for allo-HSCT candidates.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the major type of primary liver cancer and a leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Cinobufotalin (CBF) is extracted from the skin secretion of the giant toad and clinically used for the treatment of liver cancer, but its molecular mechanism of anti-cancer in HCC has not yet been elucidated. Here, we showed CBF effectively promoted cell apoptosis, induced cell cycle G2-M arrest, inhibited cell proliferation and lipogenesis.

The importance of flow shear stress (SS) on the differentiation of endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) has been demonstrated in various studies. Cholesterol retention and microRNA regulation have been also proposed as relevant factors involved in this process, though evidence regarding their regulatory roles in the differentiation of EPCs is currently lacking. In the present study on high shear stress (HSS)-induced differentiation of EPCs, we investigated the importance of ATP-binding cassette transporter 1 (ABCA1), an important regulator in cholesterol efflux, and miR-25-5p, a potential regulator of endothelial reconstruction.

How to conduct integrated pharmaceutical care for patients with hand-foot syndrome associated with chemotherapeutic agents and targeted drugs.

Objective: The objective of this article was to offer practical operational process for pharmacists to successfully conduct integrated pharmaceutical care for patients with hand-foot syndrome associated with chemotherapeutic agents and targeted drugs which may facilitate the work of first-line clinical pharmacist. A literature review was conducted in March 2020 of Pubmed, Medline, and EMBASE (2010-2020) using terms such as: hand-foot syndrome, hand-foot skin reaction, palmar-plantar erythrodysesthesia, chemotherapeutic agent, and multikinase inhibitor. Appropriate references from selected articles were also used.

CT perfusion based ASPECTS improves the diagnostic performance of early ischemic changes in large vessel occlusion.

Background: ASPECTS scoring method varies, but which one is most suitable for predicting the prognosis still unclear. Materials And Methods: We selected 100 consecutive prostate magnetic resonance imaging cases from a publicly available data set (PROSTATEx Challenge) with and without histopathologically confirmed prostate cancer. Seven board-certified radiologists were tasked to read each case twice in 2 reading blocks (with and without the assistance of a DL-CAD), with a separation between the 2 reading sessions of at least 2 weeks.

Associations between sleep duration, midday napping, depression, and falls among postmenopausal women in China: a population-based nationwide study.

Objective: To explore the independent and joint associations of sleep duration, midday napping, and depression with fall accidents in Chinese postmenopausal women.

Methods: A total of 2,378 postmenopausal women aged ≥ 45 years from the baseline survey of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study were enrolled in the study. Each participant provided data on falls, sleep duration, midday napping by a self-reporting approach.

Effect of ticagrelor with or without aspirin on vein graft outcome 1 year after on-pump and off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting.

Background: In the present post hoc analysis of the DACAB trial, we evaluated the effects of ticagrelor with or without aspirin on 1-year vein graft outcomes after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) with and without cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) (on-pump and off-pump).

Methods: The DACAB trial was a multicenter, randomized, open-label, parallel control study enrolling 500 patients with 1,460 vein grafts undergoing CABG. For current post-hoc study, all patients in the DACAB study were included in the analysis to compare the effects of different antiplatelet regimens under on/off pump.
