Background And Purpose: The occurrence of colorectal cancer (CRC) is associated with a variety of factors. Accumulating evidence shows that peripheral differentiation of regulatory T cells (Tregs) is critical in controlling tumorigenesis. Our previous studies demonstrated that the Yi-Yi-Fu-Zi-Bai-Jiang-San (YYFZBJS) extract exerted potent anticancer activities by significantly enhancing immunosuppression in Apc mice.

The effects of aerobic exercise on the intestinal tumors and flora of the Apc mouse.

Introduction: Intestinal tumor is one of the most common tumors that seriously threaten the health of residents all over the world. Studies suggest that the imbalance of intestinal flora is associated with tumorgenesis; meanwhile, long-term regular aerobic exercise can improve the occurrence and development of tumors. However, moderate aerobic exercise affecting the development of intestinal tumors and their related flora has not been explored.

Accumulating evidence shows that microbiota can influence the outcome of cancer immunotherapy. T cell, one of the main populations of effector immune cells in antitumor immunity, has been considered as a double-edged sword during the progression of CRC.

Wrist-ankle acupuncture and Fluoxetine in the treatment of post-stroke depression: a randomized controlled clinical trial.

Objective: To investigate the effects of WAA combined with fluoxetine in the clinical treatment of post-stroke depression (PSD) .

Methods: In this randomized, controlled and single-blind trial, 105 PSD patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into three equal groups: Thin wrist-ankle acupuncture (WAA) group (Thin WAA needle + Fluoxetine), Thick WAA group (Thick WAA needle + Fluoxetine), and Sham WAA group (sham WAA needle + Fluoxetine). In this trial, the primary outcome was Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD), while the secondary outcomes included Zung self-rating depression scale (SDS) and World Health Organization Quality of Life BREF (QQL).

The application of Apc mouse model in colorectal tumor researches.

Purpose: Apc mouse is an excellent animal model bearing multiple intestinal neoplasia, used to simulate human familial adenomatous polyposis and colorectal tumors. The key point of this model is the mutation of Apc gene, which is a significant tumor-suppressor gene in the Wnt signaling pathway. There are also some other possible mechanisms responsible for the development of colorectal tumors in the Apc mouse model, such as tumor-associated signaling pathways activation, the changes of tumor-related genes, and the involvement of some related proteins or molecules.

Melittin, a major component of bee venom, is a water-soluble toxic peptide of which a various biological effects have been identified to be useful in anti-tumor therapy. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are important for evidence-based medicine; however, their quality of reporting remains to be evaluated. The aim of this study was to assess the quality of the report concerning solid tumor medication. Articles were searched in PubMed to identify all oncology phase III RCTs published from 2011 to 2015, and the results were classified manually through Endnote X7.

Clinical practice guidelines for the treatment of primary liver cancer with integrative traditional Chinese and Western medicine.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is an important part of the treatment of primary liver cancer (PLC) in China; however, the current instructions for the integrative use of traditional Chinese and Western medicine for PLC are mostly based on expert opinion. There is no evidence-based guideline for clinical practice in this field. Therefore, the Shanghai Association of Chinese Integrative Medicine has established a multidisciplinary working group to develop this guideline, which focuses on the most important questions about the use of TCM during PLC treatment.

Colon cancer and matched normal samples microarray data (E‑GEOD‑39582) were downloaded from ArrayExpress. Genes with significant variation were identified, followed by the screening of differentially expressed genes (DEGs).

Methods: Two parallel cross-sectional studies assessed 83 oncologists and 402 cancer patients on CAM communication between patients and oncologists, and attitudes toward CAM use and clinical decisions about CAM.

Background: Primary dysmenorrhea (PD) is one of the most common health complaints all over the world, specifically among young females. Acupuncture has been employed to relieve the pain-based symptoms and to avoid the side effects of conventional medication, and wrist-ankle acupuncture (WAA) has confirmed analgesic efficacy for various types of pain. The aim of this study is to evaluate the immediate analgesia effect of WAA on PD of young females.

The present study aimed to establish a prediction model for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) based on the cross talk genes from important biological pathways involved in HCC. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) for HCC were identified from mRNA profiles of GSE36376, which were mapped to protein‑protein interaction (PPI) networks from BioGrid and the human protein reference database. Then critical genes based on the deviation score and the degree of node were selected from the novel PPI network.
