Background: Increasing of hospitalization rates of Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) management have created major challenge for the health system. Poor adherence to treatment is one of the main reasons for treatment failure, prolongation of treatment, and increase care costs. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of educational intervention based on Pender's Health Promotion Model (HPM) on adherence in patients with CAD.

Background: The probable impact of growth hormone (GH) as a heart failure (HF) treatment strategy is still less investigated. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate the relation of 3-month GH prescription on left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), interventricular septum (IVS), posterior left ventricle (LV) thickness, end systolic and end diastolic diameters (ESD and EDD), and pulmonary arterial pressure (PAP) among Iranian individuals suffering from HF due to MI attack.
Methods: A total of 16 clinically stable participants with HF diagnosis and LVEF < 40% were selected for enrollment in this pilot randomized double-blinded study.

Purpose: Controversies exist on the relative contribution of sagittal spino-pelvic alignment on pathogenesis of lumbar disc herniation.
Methods: Spinopelvic alignment parameters, pelvic incidence, pelvic tilt, sacral slope, pelvic radius-S1 end-plate ratio and pelvic radius-S1 angle, in 52 patients with lumbar disc herniation were compared with the same measurements in 43 healthy adult volunteers.
Results: Statistical analysis revealed significant difference in pelvic incidence and sacral slope between patients with lumbar disc herniation and normal population.
We presented a case of late onset of left traumatic diaphragmatic hernia with displacement of spleen and stomach to the left hemi thorax, a year after the trauma. Gastric and respiratory complications along with herniation should be immediately managed, in order to reduce the risk of cardiac arrest and mortality.

Given the nature of heart disease and the importance of continuing heart surgery during the pandemic and its aftermath and in order to provide adequate safety for the surgical team and achieve the desired result for patients, as well as the optimal use of ICU beds, the medical team, blood, blood products, and personal protective equipment, it is essential to change the usual approach during the pandemic. There are still a lot of evidences and experiences needed to produce the perfect protocol. Some centers may have a special program for their centers during this period of epidemics that can be respected and performed.

Scalp arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are abnormal vascular lesions, which can be managed effectively and safely with surgical or endovascular approaches. Here, we discuss a case of scalp AVM malformation in a 25-year-old female, in which due to the proximity of the feeder artery to right orbit, surgical excision was preferred and the AVM was excised with an uneventful post-op course.

Purpose: The main aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between radiographic findings and clinical outcomes following the first metatarsophalangeal (MTP) joint arthrodesis.
Methods: In a comparative retrospective study, on 46 patients (48 ft), the correlation between post-operative radiographic findings including hallux valgus angle (HVA) and first MTP dorsiflexion angle (MTPDA) and clinical outcomes including VAS pain, modified AOFAS hallux score, and FFI questionnaire were evaluated. Moreover, clinical outcomes were compared between cases with pre-operative diagnosis of first MTP inflammatory arthritis, hallux valgus, hallux varus, and grade 3 and 4 of hallux rigidus.

Purpose: Achilles tendinopathy is a prevalent overuse injury among athletes and in those with a sedentary lifestyle. Current evidence indicates that the Victorian Institute of Sport Assessment-Achilles (VISA-A) questionnaire is a valid, reliable and disease-specific outcome measure for assessing the clinical symptoms in patients with Achilles tendinopathy. The objective of this study was to translate and cross-culturally adapt the VISA-A questionnaire into Persian (VISA-A-P) and evaluating its psychometric properties.

Background: Many clinical tests and diagnostic studies have been developed to increase the clinician's ability to accurately diagnose disorders of the knee. Torn menisci or ligamentous structures within the knee cause significant pain and disability and thus require expeditious management. This study was conducted to evaluate the accuracy of clinical examination in comparison with MRI examination and with the help of arthroscopic examination as the gold standard in the diagnosis of meniscal tears.

Background: Idiopathic flatfeet are usually caused by attenuation of the medial soft tissues rather than a lateral osseous deficiency. Debate continues on whether spring ligament attenuation or posterior tibial tendon (PTT) dysfunction is the initial driver for the deformity. Our comparative prospective study aimed to quantify the radiological and clinical outcomes of 2 techniques for spring ligament reconstruction using a hamstring graft or a synthetic ligament.

The combination of tendon and ligament ruptures with fracture of the talus is very rare. We demonstrate our experience in the acceptable management of a 34-year-old male referred with a closed comminuted fracture of the talar body after falling 7 meters. During the surgery, complete rupture of the peroneus brevis tendon, partial rupture of the peroneus longus tendon, and an avulsed superficial deltoid ligament from medial malleolus were found.

We presented an artificial intelligence-based model to predict annual effective dose (AED) value of health workers. Potential factors affecting AED and the results of annual blood tests were collected from 91 radiation workers. Filter-based feature selection strategy revealed that the eight factors plate, red cell distribution width (RDW), educational degree, nonacademic course in radiation protection (hour), working hours per month, department and the number of procedures done per year and work in radiology department or not (0,1) were the most important predictors for AED.
