Background: Despite advances in treatment, no-reflow, large thrombus burden (LTB), and myocardial blush grade (MBG) are associated with adverse cardiovascular outcomes in ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Aortic arch calcification (AAC) is associated with subclinical atherosclerosis and adverse cardiovascular events. We aimed to examine the relationship between AAC and unfavorable angiographic outcomes such as no-reflow, MBG, and LTB in STEMI patients undergoing PCI.

Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TTC) is a rare condition associated with transient akinesia of apical segments and hyperkinesia of basal segments of the heart. Although several mechanisms have been proposed to cause direct and indirect myocardial damage owing to catecholamine excess, the underlying pathophysiology remains unknown. An 18-year-old female was referred to our otorhinolaryngology outpatient clinic for a septorhinoplasty.

Purpose: We aimed to compare retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness and peripapillary vessel density values between COVID-19 patients with or without olfactory/gustatory dysfunction symptoms and healthy controls.
Materials And Methods: We evaluated RNFL and radial peripapillary capillary vessel density (RPC-VD) values of 41 patients who had COVID-19 history and age- and gender-matched control group including 31 healthy individuals with optical coherence tomography angiography. First, post-COVID-19 group's and control group's RNFL and RPC-VD values were compared, then post-COVID-19 patients were divided into subgroups according to the presence (subgroup-A) and absence (subgroup-B) of olfactory/gustatory dysfunction symptoms, and same parameters were analyzed for subgroups.

Both structural and functional alterations in the retina and the choroid of the eye, as parts of the central nervous system, have been shown in psychotic disorders, especially in schizophrenia. In addition, genetic and imaging studies indicate vascular and angiogenesis anomalies in the psychosis spectrum disorders. In this ocular imaging study, choroidal structure and vascularity were investigated using enhanced depth imaging (EDI) optical coherence tomography (OCT) in first-episode psychosis (FEP), ultra-high risk for psychosis (UHR-P), and age- and gender- matched healthy controls (HCs).
