Introduction: Chronic postoperative pain is the most frequent late complication of inguinal hernia repair surgery. The aim of this study is to evaluate the incidence of chronic post-hernioplasty pain in outpatient care at Centro Hospitalar do Porto, describe it, analyse its relation with other variables defined in the literature and study its functional interference.
Material And Methods: We performed a retrospective cohort study between February and May 2016, using a structured telephone interview composed of questions from the authors and sections of published questionnaires, two of which are validated for the Portuguese language and culture.
Background: Chorea may occur as a manifestation of an acute stroke. Patients with vascular-related chorea typically present with an acute or subacute onset of hemichorea, contralateral to the lesion.
Methods And Findings: In this clinico-pathological case, we report a 90-year-old female who presented, at age 81, with a transient episode of generalized chorea.

In order to respond to the increased number of day surgeries, as well as to avoid a potential proportional increase in perioperative morbidity, quality control systems must be adopted to enable continuous improvement and minimise predicted risks. In this context, the Group of Studies of Multiple Sclerosis and the Portuguese Society of Neuroradiology, after a joint discussion, appointed a committee of experts to create recommendations adapted to the national reality on the use of magnetic resonance imaging in multiple sclerosis.

Material And Methods: Data related to organizational and human resources were collected, reporting the situation by the end of year 2015. The census registered 107 individuals and 27 Departments.
