Several high-quality, randomized, sham-controlled trials have provided evidence supporting the efficacy and safety of radiofrequency, ultrasound and alcohol catheter-based renal denervation (RDN) for reducing blood pressure (BP). A French clinical consensus document has therefore been developed to propose guidance for the appropriate use of RDN in the management of hypertension along with a dedicated care pathway and management strategy. The French experts group concluded that RDN can serve as an adjunct therapy for patients with confirmed uncontrolled, resistant essential hypertension despite treatment with≥3 antihypertensive drugs, including a long-acting calcium channel blocker, a renin-angiotensin system blocker and a thiazide/thiazide-like diuretic at maximally tolerated doses.

Aims: Women are less likely to receive lipid-lowering therapy (LLT) after acute myocardial infarction (AMI). We analysed whether this under-prescription currently persists and has an impact on long-term outcomes.
Methods And Results: The FAST-MI programme consists of nationwide registries including all patients admitted for AMI ≤ 48 h from onset over a 1 month period in 2005, 2010, and 2015, with long-term follow-up.

Purpose: Previous studies have reported the benefit of dual HER2-targeting combined to neoadjuvant chemotherapy in HER2-amplified breast cancer (HER2 + BC). Moreover, besides the cardiac toxicity following their association to Trastuzumab, anthracyclines chemotherapy may not profit all patients. The NeoTOP study was designed to evaluate the complementary action of Trastuzumab and Pertuzumab, and the relevance of an anthracycline-based regimen according to TOP2A amplification status.

Background: Group A Streptococcus is responsible for severe and potentially lethal invasive conditions requiring intensive care unit (ICU) admission, such as streptococcal toxic shock-like syndrome (STSS). A rebound of invasive group A streptococcal (iGAS) infection after COVID-19-associated barrier measures has been observed in children. Several intensivists of French adult ICUs have reported similar bedside impressions without objective data.

Stroke is a rare and severe complication of giant cell arteritis (GCA). Although early diagnosis and treatment initiation are essential, the mechanism of stroke is often related to vasculitis complicated by arterial stenosis and occlusion. Its recurrence is often attributed to early steroid resistance or late GCA relapse, so immunosuppressive treatment is often reinforced.

Objectives: The aim of this postmarket clinical study was to assess the safety and efficacy of the latest generation polymer-free sirolimus-eluting stents (PF-SES) in an all-comers population comparing outcomes in stable coronary artery disease (CAD) versus acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in France.
Background: The efficacy and safety of the first-generation PF-SES have already been demonstrated by randomized controlled trials and "all-comers" observational studies.
Methods: For this all-comers observational, prospective, multicenter study, 1456 patients were recruited in 22 French centers.
Background: Cancer patients with pelviabdominal masses can suffer from lower extremity symptoms due to venous compression. The effectiveness of venous stenting has been established in extrinsic venous compression in benign conditions like May-Thurner syndrome. In this retrospective study we evaluate the efficacy and safety of caval, iliocaval and iliofemoral venous stenting for cases of extrinsic venous compression caused by malignant masses in cancer patients.

Background: Hallux rigidus is a degenerative condition affecting the middle age population. It affects patients by limiting their first metatarsophalangeal range of motion (ROM) and also, their shoe wear. The objective of our work was to present an original operative technique which preserves the native joint and improves pain with minimal complications.

Background: Changes in immunoglobulin (Ig) levels may occur in association with various drugs targeting immunity, including disease-modifying drugs (DMD) and corticosteroids (CS) used to treat multiple sclerosis (MS). However, kinetics of Ig levels during the natural history of MS is poorly described.
Objective: To describe the natural history of the Ig levels in MS.

There is a growing interest in the quality of work life (QWL) of healthcare professionals and staff well-being. We decided to measure the perceived QWL of ICU physicians and the factors that could influence their perception. We performed a survey coordinated and executed by the French Trade Union of Intensive Care Physicians (SMR).

Combining drugs could be an effective option for treating multirefractory ITP, that is, patients not responding to rituximab, thrombopoietin receptor agonists (TPO-RA) and splenectomy. We conducted a retrospective, multicenter, observational study including multirefractory ITP patients who received a combination of a TPO-RA and an immunosuppressive drug. We included 39 patients (67% women, median age 59 years [range 21-96]), with a median ITP duration of 57 months [3-393] and a median platelet count at initiation of 10 × 10 /L [1-35].

Introduction: The use of telehealth, such as remote patient monitoring (RPM), for chronic heart failure (CHF) impacts patient pathways. Patient-centricity in chronic disease management is valuable. Even though RPM is recommended in practice, the evaluation of patient satisfaction has been limited to date.

Background: The rise in antimicrobial resistance is a global threat responsible for about 33,000 deaths in 2015 with a particular concern for extended-spectrum beta-lactamase-producing Enterobacterales (ESBL-E) and has led to a major increase in the use of carbapenems, last-resort antibiotics.
Methods: In this retrospective propensity-weighted multicenter observational study conducted in 11 ICUs, the purpose was to assess the efficacy of non carbapenem regimen (piperacillin-tazobactam (PTZ) + aminoglycosides or 3rd-generation cephalosporin (3GC) + aminoglycosides) as empiric therapy in comparison with carbapenem in extended-spectrum β-lactamase-producing Enterobacterales (ESBL-E) urinary septic shock. The primary outcome was Day-30 mortality.

Background And Objectives: To clinically characterize post-immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) Hu antibody (Ab) neurologic disorders, we analyzed Hu-Ab-positive patients with neurologic immune-related adverse events (n-irAEs) and compared them with patients with other n-irAEs, ICI-naive patients with Hu-Ab paraneoplastic neurologic syndromes (PNSs) identified in the same study center, and those with Hu-Ab n-irAEs reported elsewhere.
Methods: Patients whose samples were sent to the French reference center for a suspicion of n-irAE (2015-2021) were identified; those with a final diagnosis of n-irAE and Hu-Ab were included. Control groups included patients with a final diagnosis of n-irAE occurring during the same period as the patients included (2018-2021) but without Hu-Ab, and ICI-naive patients with Hu-Ab PNS diagnosed during the same period; a systematic review was performed to identify previous reports.
